People said the same thing about AV being a defensive style coach. Even when he first got here, he said he just coached defensive based on the players he had.
I find it hard to believe that they would hire a coach before GM but Trotz is by far the best coach out there right now.
They're just kicking the tires at the moment. Could be Gilman or Linden that have been talking to him just to gauge his interest into coaching for the Canucks and living in Vancouver. At this point, they have to see what the interest is out there.
With so many coaching vacancys right now they can't sit on waiting to hear about or kicking tires, they have to know who they want and go after him right away

As for Jordan subban, I think pk mentioned somewhere that he learned a lot of his training stuff from his brother or something. Or somewhere on the lines his bro is as good as him? Maybe pk just trolling.

Bc of all the coaching vacancies, coaches also have more options to choose from. Canucks could be attractive bc I don't think the team is truly as bad as they finished last year. Even if torts were still around there's a good chance we'd be a better team next season. Potential coaches can see this and when he pulls the team out he can be the hero. Maybe
