Yeah what a stupid name... If you want to name the divisions based on geography, you have to do all of them or none. It would have been so much cooler to name them after Hall of Fame players...

Name one division after a great player on one of the teams:

Pacific would be the Gretzky division obviously, both Edmonton and LA are in there

Central could be the Mikita division, or Sakic?

"Metropolitan" Lemieux, duh

Eastern would be the Howe division

The hardest one is Central, unless I am forgetting someone...

Yeah, the Jagr signing in NJ is bizarre to me. Speaking of bizarre, I don't see why the Canucks and Tanev are having such a hard time negotiating a deal. Unless GMMG is trying to lowball Tanev, around ~1m.
