RT @canadiensmtl: Canadiens have reached an agreement with free agent defenceman Douglas Murray on a one-year contract (2013-14).
Soccer is so incredibly boring that whenever someone breaks into the scoring zone that people go crazy. Because for the last 45 minutes, sweet nothing happened.

As much as I like the sport of soccer and grew up playing pick-up games, I find the legit 11 on 11 soccer so broken.
The team of forwards can work so hard to get into the attacking zone just to have some trolling defenseman blast it back down 3/4 of the field.
Not to mention the sport at professional level seems like a joke with no use of instant replay,
even more diving and embellishment than NHL, and I will never, ever, understand no stoppages of time,
with the ref tacking on whatever amount of minutes at the end.

FIFA has implemented goal camera's and instant replays now
i'm happy we re-signed tanev but now i'm questioning whether he wants to actually stay here and play, or just get a big payout from any team willing to shell out the cash.
1.5m for Tanev isn't a bad deal, up to him to prove what he can do with the upcoming full season though. Hockey is so close, I'm slowly getting more and more excited. Didn't see these posted, some of Horvat's toe drags.. disgusting. Hope these kids pleasantly surprise us.
I honestly pray to god we don't rush either of these guys... especially Bo...
I think we all remembered what happened to Brule. I hope he returns to London for a season, then represent Canada @ the World JRs, then maybe play a season or two in the AHL.
I'm actually really curious and anxious for camp, both have shown they can hang with other upper echelon prospects.. will they be able to hang with legit NHLers?
maybe do what TBL did for Brett COnelly (i think thats his name)
put him on nhl team, then send to world jrs as well
not definite on Horvat, but maybe hes surpassed OHL's level already

I think the consensus is unless Bo does something crazy at camp he'll be sent back to JR (apparently what Gilman said on TEAM1040), I would rather have Gaunce have a roster spot than him.
Alberts a depth signing obviously.... better be cheap....less than a mil

Alberts deal is reportedly 1-yr at 600K w/ #Canucks

I used to think like this until I started watching soccer when the Whitecaps made the jump to MLS. It's definitely a different game than what we're used to in North America, but there's a reason why it's called the beautiful game. I now can appreciate good soccer (Premier League, etc.)
The Canucks got owned pretty good on that Twitter exchange. Bring back the good old days of the organic fan experience of the rink on Renfrew in the upper blues. Posted via RS Mobile
Was reading the comments on canucks fb page regarding Alberts. I was surprised to see people begging the canucks to re-sign mayray Posted via RS Mobile
^ Hey, to each their own but IMO that would be pretty lame if you did.
Sure, you can appreciate what another team brings to the table, and it's easy (too easy IMO) to cheer for a successful team a'la Redwings (sorry Gh0st, even though not of late), instant Heat fans etc, whatever the sport..
If you're a true fan, you stick with em. No flip flopping for another team when they're winning championships. Maybe I'm loyal to a fault, but I would rather be loyal than jump ship when the going gets tough.
No offense man, but especially you! Your wish came true, Schneider is gone and Lu is here to stay... Where did your "Go Canucks!" sig go?

Depends on why you like hockey?
Do you like hockey simply because of hometown pride or do you like hockey because of the sport? Unfortunately, those 2 don't always go hand-in-hand.
I'm pretty sure every fan present on this board has both but not necessarily in the same order.
