Interesting that the police say there aren’t going to be any charges unless a complaint is filed? I would think stuff like this would get their attention, being that the video is there etc?

So who's in the wrong here? The "kid" or the older dude?

the older guy in the vid started the fist fight and kept going
but if the bimmer owner did punched him and kicked his car before the vid started then it's the younger guy

Meh, they are both in the wrong, but according to the person who took the video the kid kicked in the door and hit the old guy before the video started rolling.

My reaction would have probably been the same as the older guy, and come out swinging as well. The problem with people now (especially younger people) is for the most part, they know they can get away with shit and no one holds them accountable. Talking shit over the internet has lead people to believe that they can get away with it in real life too. I say good on the older guy for making the kid back it up.

I used to have crazy road rage. As I have gotten older I have mellowed out quite a bit. If someone is really driving like a total asshole, I usually just call the cops on my cell phone and let them know the plate, which way the car was heading, and where we are. I don’t need to go to jail because some douche bag drives “like he stole it” through traffic. Let the popo deal with it.

But if someone is reaching into your car and opening your door, I think the defence could be made for realistically being scared for your safety and defending yourself. For all he knew the kid was going back to his car for a tire iron. I really don’t know that would hold up in court here though.

^^ my guess is the douchy kid did kick the guys car.. video starts with him acting all tough at the guys drivers side door. he probably walked away thinking "I showed him whos boss" and ended up getting his ass handed to him. I highly doubt the older man would've gotten into a fight if it was just due to the kid yelling at him through his window.

These days, fighting someone on the street really isn't worth it !

That’s the scary part, and why in general, it’s probably best to let the Cops deal with it.

But if someone is actually reaching into your car, or punches you, or opens your door and starts screaming at you, I think most people would react the way the older guy did, or at least they should. People need to learn they can’t get away with shit like that.

The thread does not identify the member but in the chatbox, several members did identify who it was (by username only.) That's about it. Nothing special.

One thing you have to understand BCBimmer's post rate is very low.

The members are more interested in fixing and driving the cars rather than bashing and all the gong shows on RS.
