Sportchek does have a 30 day price protection guarantee, so in theory if there is something you really need/want and you do not want to wait until Sept 25/26, you could buy it as soon as Aug 25/26, and take your receipt in with the coupon during F/F and ask for a price adjustment.

YMMV since the coupon does say "cannot be used on previous purchase", but the policy is to adjust prices that drop within 30 days.....really depends on the manager...80%+ would likely honor it.

AFAIK, it's 25% off regular priced items, 15% off sale items.

Includes everything
25% reg price 10% off sale
Unless they change it this time...doubt they will
Please support these events, we already cut it down from 3Xs a year to twice a year as these events are less successful than before

Would hate to cut it down more, its kinda dumb, because our scratch and ssave promotion (which is a way shittier deal) drives 5X the business as friends and family. Its because friends and family is not nationally advertised and many stores does a very shitty job of promoting it.

25% is a great deal. Even better than the team assist coupons which are 20% off.

But team assist's 20% can be used on items already on sale
While F/F is only 25% on regular priced items

Key is to use the 20% off coupon on clearance items at end of the season
like buying a bike thats 30% off at the end of the season, and getting an additional 20% off w/ the team assist coupon + the 5% kick back you end up getting a better deal than staff discount

Skiiipi, I heard you saying something about SportCheck was going to do something about the team assist coupons and that people were registering fake teams for the coupons, did they get around to doing anything?

they cut down the # of coupons from 30 to 20
and also now requires an actual league name to register...
i think that is it for now

I'm not going to lie, it absolutely pisses me off when one guy comes in with a stack of all 20 coupons, and when I ask them what team they belong in, they just look at me and laugh.

I don't think the program actually hit its intended target...it became a hot trend on forums like RFD, and here on RS, but its original target was for Minor League teams, baseball, softball, soccer and hockey etc

But I rarely see minor league players take advantage of the program....its a shame really, as it is really a great program. the 5% kick back will cover team socks, practice jerseys, water bottles, or enough to buy the coaches/volunteer a gift at the end of the season.....all by just doing your regular shopping at Sport Chek.

Hey Skiipi, if I wanted to, say, restring my racket, I would get discount on the cost of the strings, but not the service right? Or does the F&F include service costs as well?

You are correct, the labour cost does not get discounted, just the cost of the strings
