Hillcrest Community C/= Dangerous Parking place.

Rant. This is the 3rd time I got my car scraped by some C.lAI when I finished swimming. This time was worse, Scratched through my paint, and knocked my front lip off...

Dont know if I should claim icbc for hit and run. I have to fork -500$ .

Or just leave it as it is and try to fix it my self. Kind of in a bad mood again. Might just take my parents Rav4 to go now.

For you guys, who go there. Be careful of parking. Last time I parked in the middle parking stalls got hit, and now I parked in a open space where there is no cars, I still get hit. Be carefulll !

How do you do that ? I really need to learn that, Like I watched my Dashcam already but on the side I couldn't make out the license plate but I know what car it was, and the paint matched exactly from the scratches of my car, from the car that was parked beside me.

Post the video on the web and let the RS CSI team do the rest.

Was the car there when you pulled in? so post the video from when you pull in and after when you get in.

I can feel your pain, that sucks. Any car lovers hate this kind of moment.

Our own case:
Went a restaurant plaza controlled by DPS. Parked the car in valid customer parking spot for 20mins. When I get out of the restaurant, I saw a guy leaving a notice on my vehicle windshield.
I thought it was a flyer or something. When I got closer, I found that it was a parking ticket. Talk to the DPS staff to void my ticket at the first moment in manner. But he denied, and said that is not my vehicle.
Then I got really mad for his blanket over ticketing behavior.

Result: Ticket been cancelled

Ok guys so here is the pictures and the vid, As the video says, I dont have the dash cams that records when your car is parked which sucks. But I think the car beside me on the left is the one who did it.

Because the time difference of me getting out of the car and when I came back was 1.5 hours so no way was the other car that did it.

What do you guys think :/

Here are the pics.

https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.n...19262180_o.jpg

0:16 the car beside the black GLK i think is the one.

Silver ford escape? I think the only option now is to go back there every so often and look for that car with damage

DO you still have the RAW footage? Can you see the license plate of that silver car when the video paused? It will help you to see the license plate.
The video you post on youtube is downgrade to 720p and resized.

Yeah, the youtube wouldn't let me upload the 1080 quality on there. But yeah I'm trying to make out the license plate right now. A little hard but I think its do-able. Its hard cause of my dash reflection.

And im trying to figure out what year is that Ford Escape. :$ anyone?.

^Not sure what year. However, you can capture a picture and adjust the exposure by any photo editors to see that helps or not. But dude, guess or thinking doesn't mean he hit your car. You need a piece of evidence to prove.

Like I'm positive because when I got into the community center It was the Ford escape. When I got out of the car it was a Acura after. It could not have been the Acura because there were no marks on the car. The thing is I wasn't in the pool for long say an 45- hour ish. There could not have been 3 switches in cars. I highly doubt that. Im def going to get that license plate today and see how it goes from there on.

UGH, I feel your pain. The parking lot at Hillcrest Community Centre is absolutely horrible. The parking spots are extremely narrow, and with parents driving their wide minivans & SUVs, it makes it worse.

I park in the side lot closer to the baseball field; it's less crowded there and I pick the spots next to bushes.

Parking at Hillcrest is always a bitch, sometimes you have parents in their suvs/vans just waiting there to pick up their kids and you have to go around them in that narrow parking lot

parking spots are so tight there, and no body cam park, its worth it to park at the far end of the lot or on the street and being far from the entrance rather than close and having someone hit your car.
Ive never hit anything but everyone has hit me, I had a fresh painted front end from an accident, recently someone scuffed it up and cracked my emblem and chipped paint....sigh, also someone pulling out from a parallel scraped the whole back corner of my car. fuuuuuuu

Just wanted to point something out... That Escape was backed in, correct? So how would it have damaged the bumper in that manner? I can't quite make out what car you drive but I would have to say that the bumper height on that Escape is higher than those marks on your car. Even if the driver of the Escape had to back up a bit after pulling out in order to make the turn, the rear bumper is even higher up than the front.

nah I dont have any proof of who did it. It sucks though my rear and front bumper all totally scuffed n chipped from careless drivers. Esp When a lot of us on here try to keep out cars in tip top shape.
next investment in a dash camera for sure
