They already have their winner chosen anyway, they want a female writer obviously. They haven't interviewed anyone right? I thought they would at least conduct interviews of the top 12.
The only one with a decent blog other than edeats.com was Melanie Hillier's site. The other two finalists are a fucking TUMBLR SITE and a fucking BLOGSPOT site with no traffic 
My advice is take this exposure and make edeats.com a bigger site than any of them.

I am surprised. I browsed through the Linds site the other day and the content is lousy, especially as of late. I hope whoever wins doesn't spend their time writing about blueberry farms and restaurants in Steveston.
As Skinny has mentioned, hopefully this exposure will spring you onto other, bigger and better opportunities.

But two out of twelve and they didn't pick the one person who has shown themselves to be very active in local social media and food blogging? Just to give you an idea of the stuff I was thinking of...if I won, I was going to invite the other 11 finalists out to eat. Beforehand, we'd go go karting with a couple of GoPros mounted to them so we can see who the winner would've been if the competition was decided by go kart driving skill. Then head to a Chinese seafood restaurant for a multi-course meal. All filmed on my new 5D Mk III. If they weren't going to pay for a 12 person dinner, then I would've paid it out of the $50k. Only seems right that you say good game to everyone else.
Every week would be a 7 restaurant reviews, a "What's happening in Richmond this week" news post on Sundays, a random photo blog post...shit like just what happens in Richmond on a daily basis on another day and a weekly video of that week's restaurants and food related happenings.
I thought that would've been fun as hell.

I'm well aware it's called "fuh".
But when I do, I have to explain to the thousands of people that call it "pho" what the fuck I'm saying. So I choose to just not bother with something that's rather insignificant. Who the hell cares what it's called?
Besides, if you call it "fuh" then that fucking RUINS so many of the hilarious joke signs at a lot of modern pho restaurants. Like PHO SHO...FUH SHO just isn't as funny.

What a joke. I'm actually writing a letter to the city of richmond. Why ignore someone who already knows the city. Why does it have to be female? Are they trying to be so politically correct that they have to hire some white girl to show that they wouldn't favour asians in a city thats MAJORITY ASIAN RESTERAUNTS. I knew it was going to be some gwai lo.
