As a general rule of thumb: when a dealership makes such a huge error in their description (in this case, R-Spec), I always assume they're trying to rip me off instead of them merely being ignorant.

Ask the gencoupe.com BC members. All the old timers know about this car very very well and I encourage you to do some research.

Just a little update. I put my deposit down. But turns out they had apparantly discontinuing the GP Grey. Im like wtf? Didnt make sense to him either. Apparently there are only white, black or silver.which is bullshit. He is gonna contact hyundai canada and figure out what the fuck is going on. Ill know by thursday. I put a condition on the contract, that I only want the GP Grey

lol, maybe i should be more detailed.

when i went today to finalize the deal, we finished everything up and did the negotiation dance; and it all worked out. when my sales rep went over to the manager to finish the papers, he was notified that they apparently discontinued a bunch of colors and replaced the DP Grey (THE ONE I REALLY WANTED) with some light grey bullshit color.

when he asked what colors are available, he was told that there are only white, black, and "platinum metallic" (which apparently replaced the grey but actually is silver). my sales rep came back and told me this, and i told him that there has to be a mistake, on the website of ALL HYUNDAI DEALERSHIPS INCLUDING HYUNDAI CANADA, you can still chose the other colors.

now he is gonna try and get a hold of hyundai canada on monday and give me an answer by wednesday or thursday. we signed the deal and put a 500 dollar deposit. But i also placed a condition on the sale, that i have to have it in grey otherwise no sale.

how the fuck can you discontinue one of the most popular colors!?!?!?!

Just a little update. I spoke to my sales guy and he found out that it is true, as of right now you can only order the white, silver, red and black. And in 2 weeks the black will be discontinued. This is all because of the new colors coming in for the 2014 model. The release will be january meaning the first 2014 on the road will be march or april.

Told him to get me the black but there arent any available in bc, so he has to order it from the manufacturer which will take 6-8 weeks. So sometime september ill be rolling in a 2013 genesis coupe 3.8GT.

Anyone was curious as to why im not waiting for the 2014 model. It's because I got it diring the 30th anniversary sale. Plus the trade in for my dodge will go down and who knows what the mark up ob the 2014 model will be.

The end after trade in, I need to pay 21000 financed. This includes 7 years full warranty, lifetime warranty on paint, leather and rust ( also got the underside coated for better rode noise). And 5 years tire, rim, key and roadside assistance in canada and US.

Top it off I got the front and rear all weather rubber matts, trunk liner, and the upgraded axleback quad exhaust thrown in for free.

^haha so was I. But im still in school so this I what I can afford at the moment. Who knows what will come out in the next 2 years
