Help with samsung galaxy s3 please!!

i recently got a s3 from a buddy, broken. i got it fixed and unlocked and bought a microsim for the s3. i activated the sim but my network is on and off, it'd be on for about 20 min and it'd lose the network for a good hour or so. i tried calling fido and they advised me to go online to their site to configure the locked phone.

i changed the APN to LTEMOBILE.APN as the site tells you to, but still the same. someone please help me fix this! thanks

is the phone unlocked? Or locked to fido?

Might get better reception/coverage if its unlocked

that's an odd one. Have you tried master reset? or update your OS to latest one?

What exactly was fixed?

It could be a bad SIM (unlikely) or the SIM reader contacts are bad. Take a rubber eraser and see if you can rub off any dirt on the contacts on both the SIM reader contacts and your SIM card.

If it's not that, there is likely something wrong with the radio itself. See if switching to GSM or UMTS only helps.
