Driving Instructors in Vancouver

Can someone refer me to a good driving instructor? It's time for my little sister to start learning how to drive.

I would teach her myself but from what I understand there are some changes in test standards since I got my licence.

I'm looking for someone who can teach her the basics... hand positioning, mirror checks, basically all the details that instructors are anal about on the test.

Can your sister speak Chinese? The instructor I used was pretty good and imo had a better price compared to all the independent instructors.

ICBC would pull every last baby boomer off the road if they felt that driving standards had been altered to such a degree. The basics are basic for a reason, if you're in doubt, go to a licensing centre and get (not sure if they are free anymore) a test/instructional/rule book for her to analyze.

360 check before departing from a parking spot, mirror and shoulder check before changing lanes, can't get much simpler than that. Hand positioning is questionable, I was taught to use 10/2 or 9/3 based on the age of the car. As long as you aren't stupid enough to hold the wheel with one finger tip during the test, you should be good to go.

Young Drivers. The only way to learn properly is to go to a ICBC certified driving school (the white people driving schools).

You could still teach her and she can fill in the rest by reading up on any new protocols, rules etc.
