| A Static Captains feature: The Dark Knight
Here in the Pacific Northwest, there are many people who love the modified car scene. However, there are not as many as die hard like this guy named DK. Over the years he has owned this Integra, DK has worked and cranked wrenches on every single bolt on this beauty. As neck-breaking as his ride is, DK is an extremely humble person, which is in total contrast to his car, especially when he opens up the exhaust with his electric cut-out! Make sure you check the full mod-list at the bottom!
You've probably seen him pull up to a car show with no hood, and for good reason too. DK keeps his engine bay clean and flashy, especially the gold plated valve cover. The Integra is powered by Spoon camshafts and Toda cam gears and managed by a Hondata S100 ecu. I had the privilege to ride in the car, and while it isn't mindblowing fast, it's extremely smooth as the car engages gears through an Exedy clutch and Spoon flywheel.
Let's discuss footwork shall we? The BALLIN' brushed face CCW LM5T's cuddled by BuddyClub racing spec coilovers just make this DC2 stand out from the rest. Dk also has a bunch of other suspension bits to reinforce the chassis. The most noticeable would be the Cusco 6 point chromolly roll cage, Godspeed Racing Xbars and ASR rear sway braces.
Rounding out the looks of his car is a JDM front end conversion. DK paired the conversion with a BYS front bumper to give it that aggressive mean look. Subtle details such as CF M Racing mirrors, rear hatch visor and JDM window visors add a unique touch to the ride.
Bundled within the Cusco 6 point cage is a Bride Zeta III seat for the driver and a Recaro SRD for the passenger. A Momo hub allows DK to run a Nardi 330mm deep corn steering wheel over the stock setup. DK also didn't cheap out on gauges, going all out with a Defi Control unit for his oil pressure and oil temperature gauges.
DK would like to thank all of his friends and family! And it was also very nice of him to have given a special shout out to us as well! Thanks DK!
