Where can I have a BBQ next to my van in Vancouver?
There's not much traffic in the Outdoors sections, perhaps this can be moved there later...
Where can I have a BBQ, gas or more preferably coal, next to my cool van in the lower mainland?
I once had a BBQ at this mini beach by the museum with a great view... I dont know if it was legal and if it is, what to expect with the BBQ next to the van. When I did this the Museum was closed.
Another place with nice trees.

any other places RevScene? the closer to the downtown core, the better!
I just recline the seats in my Jetta and open up the sunroof for ventilation, then stick the roaster in, portable pit. *Possibility of percieved insurance fraud by icbc, turn your weiner at your own risk. Any correlation between breaking bad and my method is purely intentional

This is for the parks, I am not sure about in/beside your cool van though...
Policies and guidelines for picnics
Picnics without permits
You can have a picnic without a permit so long as your picnic site is not on the list of reservable picnic sites.
In addition, your group must be less than 50 people, or less than 25 if you’re holding your picnic at Maple Grove park.
If your group is larger than 50 people, but less than 150 people, you must book a picnic site online and get a permit.
Allowed equipment and barbecues
You may bring a barbecue, one small table, blankets, and lawn chairs
Your barbecue must be 75 cm from the ground and full clean up after you are finished is required
Coals must be doused with cold water and removed
If there is an extreme fire warning you cannot use charcoal (propane only)
No barbecues are allowed on the sandy beach areas, and no fires are allowed at any time
Note that there are many tables available on a first-come, first-serve basis in Vancouver's parks that can be used for picnics. You may not need to bring a table.
Pretty open laws for places called a park... perhaps the Museum area could be okay as long as its on the grass. I'll just have to find out the hard way if someone complains. Thanks for the info!

Genius Yodamaster, with this idea, one could basically, and possibly covertly with some kind of smoke filter, BBQ in most places... dare I even try on Robson street
I can imagine making a stick framed, aluminum wrapped vent over the top with a computer fan, powered through the cigarette port, to vent most of the smell up directly.
Any public park is ok. Beaches be plenty. What makes your mini van so cool? Was Senator Ventura the previous owner? Did he use it in an episode of Conspiracy Theory?

I read a little about it on this 4x4 forum. Ever been to triangle beach in richmond, bc? - Ford Explorer & Ranger Resource "Serious Explorations"®
It reminds me of South Burnaby's open space, undeveloped area... which has changed quite a bit.

Its a Previa (timeless classic design) with dual sunroofs and captains chairs (the middle section) that can turn 360 degrees.
Its also RWD and a mid engine layout.
Im thinking of converting it into a mini RV in the future with plenty of leather. Zen Adventure Previa Campers Page

The Toyota Previa, also known as the Toyota Estima (エスティマ) in Japan, the Toyota Tarago in Australia and the Toyota Canarado in Asia Pacific. The name "Previa" comes from the Italian for "preview".
You can always use the tinfoil hat on your head as a barbecue on a sunny and hot day. And might I suggest these hot dogs to grill, you can pretend you're subverting the Zionist regime this way!
Besides being supercharged mid engine rear wheel drive (or 4WD), it has the rare 5 speed transmission. Toyota knew what they were doing with the front moonroof and huge sunroof design. The only thing the previa is missing is the ice maker.
