I certainly feel that way. The two cars I miss the most are my old twin-turbo 200sx and the GTI. The GTI was rusted to shit (I even put my foot through the floorboard at one point ) but it was a beast on the auto-x track. The 200sx was a terrible hackjob but the two staged turbo setup mixed with the awesome (read: terrible) custom USSR paint job meant I loved driving that thing. It got more VI's than I can count, even though it passed every single one without fail, and was such a heat score, but that's truly the one car I miss the most. My current cars are worth much more and are infinitely far more reliable, but they just don't put the same sort of smile on my face when I drive 'em.
This. Exactly this. In my old Maxima if you went over ~100km/h the service engine light would come on, and as soon as you came to a stop, it would go off. Never tracked down why... quirky little things like that are bizzarely why i miss it...
You know what i'm noticing? Everyone has one car that's alot shittier than the one they drive now, but they still love it more than what they drive now... Don't we all wish we could go "back in time" if you will and never sell that car?
I don't miss my Civic as a car, I miss it for the memories. The s2k I miss for the memories and as a car because it was a blast to drive every day.
I miss my Miata as well,
even though it scraped everywhere, it had a N1 without resonators,
bucket seat broke my back, it was rusty with high kilometers,
it had no AC so I sweated my balls off.
But every time after a long day of work, the rip home was the best and definitely put a smile on my face!
I went up to a cute chick and asked her if she'd let me take a photo of her for $30 she slapped me, she said to me that "I AIN'T A WHORE!"
But other than that I have seen every car on display in DTP just by cruising about in Richmond, thank you very much for collecting them together and get someone to sing a cover for "fuck you".
OH FUCK YOU OH OH OOOOH~

Riced it out hard mainly due the hood. I wanted the whole hood to be wrapped as well, wrapping company said I told them too late.
And FBO + tune was very unimpressive.
Went all out, regretted and sold:
