Well the Focus ST has ~10hp and 10ft/lbs less on the MS3, and it doesn't seem to suffer nearly the same handling issues.

I like manuals for everyday driving but automatics are way better at drag racing.

Nope. I used to drag race at MRP..auto is way more consistent than manual..that's what you're looking for in a bracket race.

oops read/interpreted that wrong
i meant I'd rather have an auto for daily stop-go traffic and have fun rowing through the gears on a drag strip even if it doesnt mean the best 1/4 mi times.

I totally get that. Just poking fun that 10/12 'Best Drivers Cars' of the year are automatic

You guys need to stop whining about modern cars not having manual tranny.

Some motorcycle riders like to kick start, choke the carbureted engine to warm up, etc. But who fucking cares I'd rather ride modern Ducati and R1.

Yes, modern cars do have traction control, auto rev match, ABS, paddle shift, all the other electronic devices but that does NOT mean it's not fun.

I'd rather be in this car with lots of high tech electronic devices with paddle and hybrid system

than this, which comes with manual tranny, less high tech devices and supposed to be more fun

Was lucky enough to drive a Focus ST around at work, and I must say it was a very exhilarating ride!

Nobody's whining, just having some fun (see what I did there?).

Like I mentioned I totally get the performance advantage with auto trannies. A drivers car isn't all about fun imo, nor is it about all out performance. To me its about the overall balance of the vehicle and how it can engage the driver. I don't expect yo win you over on this since your answer to everything is "GTR will still smoke it"
