I want to insure my bike, car for one day only for an event in USA, anyone had any issues with a piece of paper taped onto the license plate crossing the border?

I had a one day permit for my car, they will just ask you for the registration paper to prove its yours. Also coming home the custom asked more question like.. Why you only do one day insurance. And stuff like that.

But I had no problem crossing borders with it

The BC permit is valid in Canada or the US for the motorcycle.

Went to Portland with a 3-day temp permit on an FC, had no problems just got asked a lot more questions. Coming home didn't even get asked about it, just the usual "what are you bringing back?"
