Is the only way to get an unlocked LTE Note 3 by buying one outright from Rogers or any locked one, then using an online unlock service?

^Rik @MobileDNA says he will have unlocked Bell versions for sale soon so I'm gonna grab that from him but you can also buy the international unlocked ones as well.

i played with it on the weekend @ the "Samsung" store. It feels a lot snappier than my stock Note 2, but I'm guessing it's probably mostly the OS? Hopefully there will be a port of OS for N2 soon

DC5-S 10-07-2013 04:37 PM

Anyone find the s pen not sensitive enough?

looking on ebay for cases on the note 3 & not a lot are catching my eyes

Devastator 10-07-2013 07:15 PM

I ordered some spigen cases, should arrive anytime now. They looked like the best designed ones at the moment compared to what is out there. I'll let ppl know how they are like when I get them.

Mr.Money 10-07-2013 07:36 PM

^^...fuuu thats nice,i wouldn't mind the red one...i just wonder how glossy and scratch free they will last.

Gnomes 10-07-2013 08:00 PM

Ordered a couple of cases from dx. I'll let you know next year how it's like when I get them

djstyles 10-07-2013 08:05 PM

I was really liking the Ringke Slim case for the Note 3. Its one of the few, if not only, non TPU slim cases that protects the sides as well as the top and bottom.

you should be able to flash the modem files from rogers to enable the band. the n9005 contains all the band you just have to enable them like the s4.

terkan 10-07-2013 08:56 PM

i'm still waiting for time to go down to the states to pick up my HK n9005 ~~ reason being i can use the 2600mhz LTE here with rogers and in hk without having to modify my phone baseband.. with the new knox counter for warranty i don't want to bother triggering it and voiding my warranty without knowing whether or not it can be modified.. i shoulda shipped to a 24/7 parcel place instead :( fml

ShadowBun 10-07-2013 09:05 PM

Wind version works with Rogers without any customizations. Should be able to use everything just after a simple unlock.
It has WCDMA 850/1700/2100/1900 and LTE 700/850/1700/2100/1900

i don't believe that's the case. it'll work but not out of the box without changing the modem file. while the phone contains all the band but most are disabled based on your country. it's just like the s4, default it doesn't work on wind but once unlocked all baseband it'll pick up wind and mobilicity.

ShadowBun 10-08-2013 02:08 PM

Anyone know if any versions of the dual sims will work here in NA?

terkan 10-09-2013 12:41 PM

it'll work here just no LTE coz it doesn't have LTE

Doubl3_H 10-09-2013 02:36 PM

anyone able to get it for $199 as a HUP through Rogers?
