I think there was just drink tickets last year... Food was crap too. Generic noodle box, pick 1 of two boxes. I forget what the second day was... Maybe they stepped it up this year though.

One of my friends got free VIP tickets from Lambo of Vancouver (he owns a lp640) and he has a spare ticket so I might go depending on the weather.

I sat in the Huayra today. It's one of the unpainted carbon fiber...sorry, carbotanium versions. Fired it up and gave it a little pedal.

I'll have pictures later. I'll be there today as well. Someone at the RS meet won a pair of tickets.

Went to the show today and had an awesome time. I was a bit skeptical because it was the Luxary car show with a dress code but I ended up having a blast. I recommend all the people on the fence should go check it out. I used the promo code and got VIP tickets. Free beer, pizza, and sliders. Got to see the ZR auto booth in the VIP area. Just had a good time all in all.

Will be going next year as well.

Oh, there were other cars there too, I guess.

The F-Type is beautiful.

This Veyron was supposed to be the centerpiece of the show last year but it didn't show up in time. This year, everyone was all over the Huayra and no one really cared about the Supersport.

I give away a pair of tickets to this event every year so go to the RS Summer Meet and you could go for free...like I do.

And you can easily make up that $50 in alcohol!

Well, $50 doesn't get you the alcohol from the VIP ticket.

I chanced upon Ioulia from Housewives of Vancouver doing a video shoot.

Took some pics.

The photos don't do her justice.

She is a beauty.

She looked much better than the photos below I took:

I could be wrong, but I thought this car was owned by Pagani.

Car is owned by Pagani. One of the organizers was over down in the states and convinced Pagani to bring the car up to Vancouver.

I'm with Timpo.

Fuck....who would of thought you could say that and mean it

Not so much on the modding of supercars, but spending $50 to walk around and look at a bunch of shit that I can't afford to buy...I don't think so.

The Langley Cruise-In was on Saturday, where its a much more mellow experience, the entire city gets involved in putting on a good show and two important points:

1. It was FREE
2. It's a bunch of guys, much like us showing off cars that they built themselves on a realistic budget.

I'll be honest, I'm not into supercars...never have been. On the walls of my bedroom were posters of 32 hiboys and fat bodied fords, not lambo's. And I'm certainly not ragging on people that are into these cars, but spending $50 seems pretentious to look at pretentious.

I'll say this about the event: it's marketed towards a rather affluent audience so $50-100 is the price range they're going for and two, there are some cars here that you'd be hard pressed to see in person otherwise. I think I've seen a Veyron one other time and Aventadors don't grow on trees...although there certainly were quite a few of them Saturday.

Sure, your cruise is free but I can look at Honda Civics anytime whether they have 18 turbos or not. I'm probably never going to sit in another Pagani.

$50 includes food & drinks
it might be pretentious for those with minimal knowledge of cars and are just there because lambos look nice

i think the admission price (like $35?) is worth it just to be in the presence of the MC12 and Pagani...that said the italian car show during father's day is a nice alternative

From what I remember the Pagani is a factory car and is going on tour, it's headed to Toronto after today. The Pfaff Auto Group based in Toronto (Who also owns McLaren Vancouver) is the only dealer group in Canada authorized to sell the Huayra, and hopefully someone in Vancouver picks one up!

Here's some pics I took from Saturday
