| Shop recommendations for a Corvette Z06 (c5)
Hey guys,
I am looking for a shop to do some work on my vette, i would like to take it to a shop familiar with Corvette's ideally. I have taken it to Dueck's on Marine Drive and paid full stealership pricing but their work wasn't the greatest.
Any corvette owners on this site? chime in!

There's a shop near the Scott Road Skytrain station. I don't' know anything about them or the work they do.

Stay the hell away from Corvette Specialties. Trust me on that one.
Talk to some of the members of BC Corvette Club if you want. Most of the older guys tend to work on their own cars, but a bunch of 'em will be able to point you to Corvette mechanics. They'll be mostly C1-3 guys, but they'll still have a better understanding of what's going on than Corvette Specialties. |

Yah i am not going near Corvette Specialities, a corvette mechanic would be perfect, ill check out the bc corvette club. Currently my corvette's Oil Pressure Sending Unit needs to be replaced, as my oil pressure is reading zero. Fairly common issue for corvettes. I may just try and do it myself.

Its a corvette. Not a Pagani. Its a small block chevy theres nothing overly exotic about them. Dont get me wrong I'm not mocking them I love them but theres no need for a vette specific mechanic that charges vette specific labor rates. The trickiest thing I've ever had to do was add auto trans fluid on one after I replaced the rad support and radiator. Hint.. theres no dipstick or dipstick tube lol.

Oh i wasn't insinuating the car is complicated in any way, more just looking for a shop familiar with the qwerks of the vehicle.
Lomac thanks for the link, i had seen it before, but when i attempted it there just isn't enough room back there, i may try it again.
I will probably sticking with going to Wayne over at BrownBro'sFord's Performance shop, he's done great work on my Mustang for me.

As others have said, it's an SBC, not a high strung V12. Take it to a good, reputable shop and they won't have any problems.
