Fido reservation costs $40 (credited back to your account when phone is shipped to retail store or reservation cancelled).

Mobile syrup reported that some carriers, I don't remember which ones at the moment, are selling them off contract for 499.99. Lol...

TOO LATE.

For anyone with a Nov 8th ship by date, anyone want to trade your black nexus 32GB for my white nexus 32GB?

CA_FTW 11-01-2013 12:04 PM

How about HSPA? My cousin was thinking of buying 1 of mine and she lives in HKG!

willystyle 11-01-2013 01:07 PM

How do I know if I am on the Canadian or US Play store?

EDIT: NM, figured it out.

lilaznviper 11-01-2013 01:14 PM

it goes by your ip address so you will be auto routed to the correct store unless you go through vpn to go to the us store.

StylinRed 11-01-2013 02:16 PM

If you guys can't wait you could order from the UK, apparently clove has stock of the Black 16gb already. it costs 332.5gbp though +20 shipping (comes to around $580CAD)
Buy Google Nexus 5

They're very reputable btw even i've ordered from them multiple times in the past

Spoon 11-01-2013 03:23 PM

^
LOL $580? You might as well buy the 32GB I'm getting. I'll wait a few weeks to make $100+.

UK will have different LTE bands

Also that's almost twice the price, I think you might get a better deal on Craigslist :fuckthatshit:

Do you know if the N.A. N4 or N5 work in regular HSPA in HKG?

kingdrew 11-01-2013 03:37 PM

Anyone got a white 16gb for trade for a black one?

Going back to HK/China next year wondering if I should get the Nexus5 and use during the trip? Will it work or no? Don't care too much about LTE as long as I can use it to make phone calls and go online is good enough.

If you want to pay 2-3X the price for it, go for it

I noticed that a lot of people don't realize that the ONLY place to get a cheap Nexus phone is from Google directly. It is a $500-600 phone. Google is selling it subsidized for $350-$400 in 10 countries, none of which are HK or China. If you go anywhere else, it is still a $500-600 phone.

BTW the N4 was never sold in HK or China by Google directly. It was sold in retail stores for around $3300 for the 16GB version at cheapest ($430)

Just got my shipping notification. Apparently the Nov.8 is the arrival date according to ups.
