I don't know how things work at Google, but based on my past work experiences, I can tell you clearly don't see the scale of processing millions of purchases.

Try and picture this:
Google and UPS are big ass companies. They have a hundreds/thousands of staff crunching through the orders simultaneously.

There isn't 1 person sitting at Google and UPS processing each order in real-time in the order they are received. Different people work at different paces. There are multiple people going through the orders at the same time, and when there's a hold up with payment authorization, address confirmation, or scheduled breaks (or whatever else), they move on to the next one while they wait for whatever to go through. Then there's "superstar Sue" that's crunching through everything twice as fast as "slow-ass Bob" who's still learning the system and is nearing retirement.

You guys just need to be patient and stop worrying about what time the person above you placed their order. There's no science behind it - It's just a bunch of people in a company working at whatever pace they're comfortable with.

The best example I can think of is say you want to pay for your purchases at Costco: Is the shortest checkout line always the fastest? no....just cuz they started lining up first, it doesn't mean they get out first.

Or lining up to cross at the Peace Arch. It's always a mystery which line will get you through fastest. There's just so many variables that come in to play.

Most likely there is 1000+ people with the same thing. Just be give it more time. Not to mention is Sunday today so most likely there won't be any updates till Monday.

I got my shipping confirmation this morning at 5 in the morning. Mine was sitting at Pending for the longest time with no date. (other than a Nov 8 date I saw just once before it changed to pending)

I did however purchase mine on the US Google Play store.

Those are some nice cases, but i don't believe in cases unless it makes the phone look better :D

I've dropped my noks dozens of times and they've only got a couple tiny little chips/scratches on the housings (screens are fine)... i know people like to joke that nokias cause craters when they drop but i can't imagine other devices being that far off

If you drop your phone 'dozens of times' then definitely you should get a case

I have dropped my phones maybe 3 or 4 times... All have survived with just some scratches on the frame.. Ipad fell off my lap once and it got a big crack in the screen :fuckthatshit:
