Why don't you go buy a professional camera like a Canon or whatever if you're serious about photography

As long as it gets the image, I can put a stupid filter on it and post it on instagram I'm happy.

Clearly not representative of everyone else's use of camera but really.. so much nit picking about cameras. I'm so happy they cheaped out on the camera so I can get a high end phone for half the going rate.

My thoughts exactly, however it is frustrating when your phone's camera is really laggy.. hated taking pictures on most phones I had, since there was always a long lag between pressing the button and the camera taking the photo.

The last really good phone camera I had was the Samsung Omnia II.. the last of the WinMo 6.x phones.. It had an actual shutter button with a half-press focus :sweetjesus: the pictures were no better than other decent phone cameras, but the interface was good and the camera was fast.

Galaxy Nexus was really slow, the N4 was a bit better. At least it would focus before taking the shot.

Reports are coming in that when picking up the phone or shaking it, it makes a clicking/ticking noise as if something is loose inside the phone. QC/defect issues?

So it's the 32GB that are shipping.. I see

I actually don't really care that much, I have a brand new N4 that is doing fine. It's just annoying to see everyone get theirs shipped after I ordered mine on the first day.. oh well

WTF.. I orders Oct 31.. and its still in KY, USA!!

dicecube 11-06-2013 09:29 PM

A lot of people are complaining about the n5 having a protruding camera and suggested a case would fix this problem
you can google nexus 5 protruding camera

So I ordered a Ringke Slim, slimmest protection I could find that was under $15

i ordered a white 32gb about the same time as you, mines also shipping to the states and it shipped out on the 4th

R5x 11-06-2013 11:28 PM

Ugh add me to the people whose phone is stuck in Hodgkins, IL for pretty much the last 2 days. Same times as the rest of you guys so I assume same shipment. I bet it'll have a bunch of scans pop up suddenly and end up in Spokane or something the next time it updates.

Annoying because I had ordered at 11:16am on the 31st and I thought I'd get it sooner :p

Tim Budong 11-06-2013 11:37 PM

whoa!!!

u can say. OK JARVIS to activate Google Now!

It does protrude, but the outside ring of the camera is slightly raised ever so slightly (just barely) so won't actually scratch the "lens".

Yeah, mine has that when you shake it. If put a little pressure on the power button it's not as "clicky". (the power button has a bit of wiggle room so that's probably where most of it is coming from) To be honest, you won't hear it unless you're in a quiet room and your ear is up near the phone. To be honest, I think people are just being overly nitpicky about it, but that's just my opinion.
