I don't like the N5 box either, but at least it's not an Apple box copycat Then again who really cares what the box looks like, besides apple fanboys :fuckthatshit: |
results so far.. I haven't turned the wifi on, but i think it shows that there is some usage is due to the fact that I have location mode set to "High Accuracy" which will turn on wifi in the background to find location using GPS, Wifi and Mobile Network. What I want to know is what the hell is using Google Play Services...I want to believe that this is Google Hangouts...but I believe it is not the case.. Factory Rom, Rooted, running Faux123 beta002 kernel *edit* Day two test will consist of wifi use for tomorrow* http://i.imgur.com/vfh95V8.png http://i.imgur.com/mNJcwgZ.png http://i.imgur.com/da24C9G.png |
Here is an interesting little feature that is extremely useful for those of us who like to listen to music straight from our phones: KitKat Feature Spotlight: Audio Tunneling To DSP Dramatically Reduces Battery Consumption When Playing Audio Quote:

GOOD because I am amazed at how much battery is used just listening to audio. . |

I'm willing to bet it's the "always on scanning for wi-fi" that's doing it. On my n4 I've noticed that every time I enable that setting, I always end up seeing Google Play Services being one of the highest battery drains. |

I doubt it don't think so..but will give it a shot, also asked on the actual thread so we shall see |

I wonder if it drains any less battery on n5... |

haha I'd like to have Google Now on, but i don't think thats the case. Girlfriends nexus5 doesn;t have this haha |
Has anyone with nexus 5 tried recording video at a concert yet? Many reviews have said the mic is very good but I wonder how it copes with loud concert music. My galaxy nexus and nexus 4 were terrible at this, music is just basically inaudible. |

I don't normally connect to wifi at home or work too, so this is pretty good if I can squeeze in a whole day on a weekend Posted via RS Mobile |
