results so far.. I haven't turned the wifi on, but i think it shows that there is some usage is due to the fact that I have location mode set to "High Accuracy" which will turn on wifi in the background to find location using GPS, Wifi and Mobile Network.
What I want to know is what the hell is using Google Play Services...I want to believe that this is Google Hangouts...but I believe it is not the case..
Factory Rom, Rooted, running Faux123 beta002 kernel
*edit* Day two test will consist of wifi use for tomorrow*

Google estimates that the amount of power used playing back audio on your phone could decrease in excess of 50%! ... In a local playback test (that is, non-streamed audio), the Nexus 5 extended its playback time from 30 hours without DSP tunneling to 60 hours with the new feature enabled.
For the time being, this audio tunneling to DSP is only available on the N5. But we'll see how widespread the feature becomes on other Android phones as well...

If you click on Google Play Services it should break down what it consists of.
I'm willing to bet it's the "always on scanning for wi-fi" that's doing it. On my n4 I've noticed that every time I enable that setting, I always end up seeing Google Play Services being one of the highest battery drains.

Has anyone with nexus 5 tried recording video at a concert yet?
Many reviews have said the mic is very good but I wonder how it copes with loud concert music.
My galaxy nexus and nexus 4 were terrible at this, music is just basically inaudible.

Can't say... Some of the findings on XDA are a bit better, but the guys there seem to condem Facebook, Twitter and such as well as sync... I have 6 email accounts I look after... This explains why my play services is so high..
I don't normally connect to wifi at home or work too, so this is pretty good if I can squeeze in a whole day on a weekend Posted via RS Mobile
