So after my first full work day of usage. Here's what I see. Phone was unplugged around 8am and put on the charger at 3am. Wifi was turned on after 7pm. Onto day 2.
How'd you get the clock in the middle and the battery % to show? And is your bottom action bar smaller?
Richmond, BC, Canada 11/13/2013 18:22 Driver needs security access which must be obtained from resident/consignee in order to enter building.
Pretty pissed off, I called UPS and they said they need my buzzer #. I tell them that it's a house and there's no apartment buildings around my area. Pretty sure the driver just reported this so he could get off the clock and do the delivery tomorrow.
I charged mine earlier this morning but it wasn't reset back to 0 hours. Does it automatically reset back to 0 when you fully charge it? I unplugged it when it was around 70%.. Could that be it? Posted via RS Mobile
This is a known issue for the Nexus 5. There is also a known issue with 3G sim cards and the Nexus 5. Best recommendation is to get the latest LTE sim card from your carrier.
Thanks! Changed to a LTR sim card and it works perfectly.

It won't show 0 hours until the phone has been fully charged. Posted via RS Mobile
quoted from xda *snip*iPhone's also had yellow screen tint, claim it was glue that needed drying and went away in 2-3 weeks *snip*
Reading xda others have said the iPhone yellow screen phenomenon wasn't a completely even tint across the screen like the Nexus 5 has. The iPhone had splotches and gradients that eventually changed. The Nexus 5 has a completely even and consistent yellow tint across the entire screen on everyone's who has reported it. One guy posted that he's had his phone for 10 days now without any change.
You guys should be all checking your Nexus 5 for the following defects (wide reports):
-yellow screen tint
-dead pixels (even occuring spontaneously after several days of use)
-significant speaker distortion at high volumes
-very low mic audio input when using 3.5mm headphones with inline mic and control buttons
-broken or rattling vibration motors
I'm with Wind, and they just gave me a new smaller sim when I went from Gnex (reg sim) to N5.

Anyone else's ok google stop working? Mine stopped working after I installed nova launcher, and it still doesn't work even after I deleted nova launcher.
fixed the Google Services thing... and that is with location reporting all on and such..
back up Play Services with TitaniumBackup..delete, restore
fixed
no more stupid intermittent wakelocks killing battery
Does your Google Now still work and updates with new cards?
If Google Play Services are not "running" in the background, I don't think Google Now works properly, which is what I'm assuming is causing the wakelocks.

No idea what caused it, but Google now works just fine. I'm going to presume that it was because my nexus 4 had to constantly check for location due to lte hack. I replaced it and now it works again Posted via RS Mobile

Weird. Today was my first full day use with my n5 and I have the same problem with Google Play Services eating up the majority of my battery. Not sure how to fix without disabling features.
In my battery graph, my phone was constantly "awake" whereas my "screen on" frequency was quite intermittent and infrequent.
The only thing I know that causes this is having Google Location Reporting turned ON which is required for Google Now since the phone is constantly pinging for location to serve up those cards.
I'm pretty sure if I disable Location Reporting (which would therefore disable the usefulness of Google Now as well) my Google Play Services will no longer cause battery drain. The only consolation is that the n5 is way more efficient than the n4 and I get better battery life despite this constant wakelocking.

Just wanted to add that if anyone get a "yellow" tint to the screen, consider flashing Franco Kernel r10, which automatically adjusts the whites on the screen a little more blue-ish for people that are used to that. Might not be worth an RMA if it's eventually going to be adjustable through software like that.
My Nexus 5's whites were more yellow than I was used to (came from Nexus 4) and I flashed Franco today and it looks more "normal" to me now.
