Trying to get the most out of google now. Can't seem to get many cards. Anyone have any tips on how to maximize it.

Same, I'm trying to figure out how it populates.. The only thing I'm consistently getting is sports scores but it brings up terrible results if I want to see boxscore.

I am using GoSMS, as I do not like the look of Hangout.

I am trying to backup my messages via GO SMS Dropbox, however I need to pay to get extra storage. Anyone know another method how I can back this up? Don't want to lose my messages. Please help.

You need to use more of Google's services. I'm talking about Google Calenders, Keep and whatnot. They're all sync'ed to your gmail so when something comes up on Calenders, like an appointment, Google Now will notify you. Likewise with a reminder on Keep.

If you get a lot of shipping emails, Google Now will have cards that show up with the option to directly track your package.

You can also tap the magic wand at the bottom of Google Now to set up your favourite sports team, stocks, whatever.

Finally, it "learns" your behaviour (location, search history, etc) as time progresses. If you are new to it, don't expect many cards except for the weather.

I use SMS backup and restore when flashing or resetting to keep all my texts.

Hangouts for SMS is the worst! Any recommendations for a better texting app?

I saw this app as well, might give it a shot. After restoring your texts via this app. Will automatically load to whatever 3rd party sms app (ie: GO SMS, Chomp)?

the battery and camera speed is atrocious. even using 3rd party app for camera doesn't solve it. :ohgodwhy:

Not sure because I haven't used a 3rd party SMS app before but I assume it'll work because texts are all stored in the same place?

Just as a heads up for anyone that wants to flash cataclysm rom, it is currently not working with TWRP recovery.

i used twrp to flash cataclysm two days back, what's changed?

Currently not working on the Nov 13 version? I tried it, TWRP says it flashed successfully twice, in the end system.ui kept crashing. Checked the xda thread and the op basically told people to fuck off and use CWM.
