Apparently it's a problem on Android OS 4.4. Noticed something wasn't quite right the morning after I got the phone.

Did a search and found this:

Good thing I use either touchdown or moxier to access my exchange email. Works so much better than stock.

HOW?

PLEASE SHARE!

You have periods where you are hardly using your phone but look how little it drains.

I left my phone on at night with 8% left just to test it and I woke up 6-7 hours later and it drained 2%

i leave my wifi and bluetooth nfc and mobile data off unless im going to use it

i have the feature where they search for your location turned off

i have my screen brightness down low and for the screen to shut off after a few seconds of inactivity

cant remember what else i did to it but i think that's about it

I haven't used it much though, i listened to some music downloaded a lot of games/apps (few over a 1gb) played lots of Castle TD and a little Angry Birds but the battery use shows hardly any use for castle td
I watched a movie with Cracked and browsed RS a bit that's about it

You know I'm at 15hrs right now and 35%. I'm very satisfied with this as I have wifi on at home LTE majority of the time at work and I mid lvl screen brightness. Car is connected to bluetooth and I leave bluetooth on all the time (not sure this really drains anything).

Satisfied customer.

EDIT: Also just realized how to turn off wifi and other things quickly from the settings drop down menu. Hold the icons. Very useful.

Electronic devices does that sometimes right after heavy usage. I notice it on my iPod. But never on my phones.

Go to settings > Location > change mode to device only or battery saving

Also you can turn google location reporting off.

The Nexus 5 charger only outputs 1.2A for the 2300mah battery. The iPhone 5s has a 1A charger for a smaller ~1500mah battery. I don't consider the Nexus charger to be that strong.

You can safely charge your Nexus 5 with a charger that outputs up to 2.1A (at the same 5V). Any more than that though and you will likely add long term wear to the battery and decrease the number of charge cycles it could handle in the long run.

I wirelessly charge my N5 at 1A (which also likely has a 10-30% power loss due to wireless) and its fine for me. If I need a big charge fast I plug it into my Dell Venue tablet charger (2A).

btw guys.

Anyone else have the loose power button? Mine moves around a little and isn't solid like my volume rocker.

Had the same issue on my S2 but it was the volume rocker that would wiggle around.

I have like 3 HP touchpad chargers in various places. The touchpad chargers are really good. They output 2.1a and have a very clean power output. One of the best in fact.

Yes mine moves slightly. If I shake my phone near my ear I can hear it. However since I have a Diztronic case on it I can't feel it moving, so I can live with it.

Included N5 wall charger outputs 1.2A. Standard USB2.0 ports on a PC or laptop output 0.5A (less than half). USB3.0 ports can output 0.9A, but the only phone that's compatible so far is the Galaxy Note 3.

Yup most new decent motherboards include high amperage USB 2.0 outputs now, which is nice.

I've noticed the same issue with my Exchange with my university email.

It tries to sync without much success.
