Oh i didnt know the Nexus 5s cam would be downgraded I thought they just changed the housing/position (which is much better imo the g2s rear looks bleegh) Yeah I was hoping Sony would come out with a next gen like 6months down the road or something :/ After all they just released the Z1F for docomo :okay: |

Z1F is the first time I've seen a smaller Android phone with top end specs. |

$100 for the 3kmAh battery is worth it given that it's non-removable form factor hasn't changed much from Samsung's GNex from 2011 I'm waiting for next year's model...wonder if Sony or Moto will carry the torch tho I'd love HTC to give the Nexus line another spin. |
Still don't understand why the camera hump is so huge and ugly. If the 32gig 3000mAh version is real and around $400, I'm definitely buying. |
if there's a camera hump that means it'll be really high resolution, probably 13 megapixel? Posted via RS Mobile |
surprised they haven't cut down on the chin/lower bezel for phones with soft keys...the xperia lineup has a stripe/bar LED light that they should employ instead of the little round LED i guess its retained so you can better hold your phone in landscape |

Not sure what the leaks said, but it would be crazy to have a 'lump' with an 8 MP sensor. |

OIS adds depth to a camera sensor as well so it may be that Its not a matter of MPx either btw for whether there's a hump on the camera what matters most is the size of the sensor the LG G2's sensor is only 1/3" aka TINY (same as htc one, iphone5s, note3 smaller than iphone5) Nokia 808 is 1/1.2" Lumia 1020 is 1/1.5" Nokia N8 1/1.83" (12mpx) The Sony Z1 is 1/2.3" (20.7mpx) Nokia N95 is 1/2.5" (5mpx) ^^ mpx isn't n sensor size aren't related http://fstoppers.com/wp-content/uplo...mparison-1.jpg |
I don't care, it looks fine. More than good enough for a phone. That matters more than a bunch of paper specs, I'll leave that to the fanboys to argue over ;) |
was trying to explain why there may be a hump and that mpx doesn't tell why there's a hump or not. not which is better :P the Note 3 takes better looking videos than any of the other devices but its sensor is tiny too |
No, the resoultion itself doesn't cause the hump. But with the sensors LG use, the 13MP one is about 1 or 2mm bigger than the 8MP and thus requires a hump. That is why the N4 used the 8MP - it doesn't have a hump, while the 13MP LG Optimus G does. I don't know if LG makes an 8MP sensor with OSI but I doubt the Nexus 5 will have an 8MP sensor if there's a hump. |
Just as important as the sensor size, it could be an upgrade in lens or image stabilization. Link:http://www.itechpost.com/articles/11...mages-leak.htm http://connect.dpreview.com/post/597...es-13mp-camera I doubt it's the new samsung camera though :(. |

Fuck that back looks ugly. And finger print galore. |
That camera hump is ugly. I hope there's some good cases being released for this phone. |
Doh I was hoping they'd move the headphone port to the bottom |
Backing is supposed to be a rubbery feeling material like the Nexus 7 tablet. Man, tomorrow is going to be a big disappointment if the rumours aren't true and there's no Nexus 5 annoucement. |
Looks like nothing going down today. New rumour is October 31 announcement. Also, pricing structure rumours have changed, with a leak about a new Nexus 4 LTE model. Nexus 4 LTE 16gb $299 Nexus 4 LTE 32gb $349 Nexus 5 16gb $399 Nexus 5 32gb $449 Nexus 5 to be priced at $399, Nexus 4 LTE model in tow - GSMArena.com news |
