Something is definitely wrong.

I have everything on at night and it didn't drain more than 3%. The other thing you could do is buy some NFC tag and set it so when your phone scans it, it shuts off wifi, cel data, BT (basically going into airplane mode except you can still receive calls).

It should help a lot

How do I get Google Services to stop draining so much? It took 37% of my battery today..

Google Location Reporting for sure. Turn off Location Reporting and Location History. Google Now still works - in fact I see no difference turning it off as far as functionality goes. Battery life improves a lot.

btw guys.

Anyone else have the loose power button? Mine moves around a little and isn't solid like my volume rocker.

Had the same issue on my S2 but it was the volume rocker that would wiggle around.

Loose power button here too. Wiggles around and does not feel as sturdy as the volume buttons. Many complaints on xda about that. There is a YouTube clip on how to fix it but requires you to open up phone.

Almost always a rogue app. Idle drain has been excellent on this device. Easily < 1%/hour regardless if on LTE/HSPA/Wifi.

Drow 11-19-2013 10:38 AM

Omg... Nexus 5 is guuuud

Cant get lte doe

Prob need lte sim

!MiKrofT 11-19-2013 11:47 AM

Slight wiggle on my power button. My first one was more than my 2nd one. I can live with it since it doesn't bother me.

radioman 11-19-2013 01:14 PM

Yes it was odd because the previous night I only drained 2% over 7 hrs.

I'll see tonight if it's better after finding the rogue app!

Official wireless charger now available. $49.99

https://play.google.com/store/device...reless_charger

Edit: The case and bumper too

radioman 11-19-2013 03:34 PM

OK so another day at work. Getting worse battery life.

The first part of my day was meetings so I wasn't really using the phone but it has a consistent drop in battery life. I've got location on but set to device only (gps) and I've turned google location reporting off. 1 hour of screen time.

Any ideas on the poor battery life.

My battery life has been like this for the last two days, all on LTE. Very.. weird since it wasn't like this a week ago, and I haven't changed how I use the phone. Currently on faux kernel with cataclysm rom.

I ordered mine. I will post a quick review as soon as I get it. :)

I tried out maps today....my god its sloooooooow to route and if it has to re-route you can just forget it! Takes forever! like this is totally unacceptable how slow it is. its instantaneous when i use my Nok but with the N5 it took a good 3 mins to reroute and the re-route solution it came up with was just to pull a u-turn

wtf. that's not my experience with Androids. I've never had a routing that took longer than 2 seconds. Re-routing takes no more than 5 seconds, that's when navigation is on. In my experience Google Maps is the best navigation tool I've ever used......

Not my experience at all with 4.x. Did you disable location or wifi location or something?

can't justify the insane shipping rates.. whether canadian or USD

ugh

but the 1.8a output is intriguing..and so is the quickcover
but im not prepared to spend the money like that on a case

SkinnyPupp 11-19-2013 05:49 PM

And of course the week before my N5 finally arrives from USA, Google starts selling them on their Hong Kong Play Store

Anyone else experiencing mic issues during a call? People keep saying they can barely hear me or it sounds muffled

StylinRed 11-19-2013 08:06 PM

No nothing was disabled when I used the navi specifically turned on everything including the maps setting of using GPS WiFi data. It was following my location perfectly but I missed a left turn onto king Edward and it began calculating rerouting and never came up with a solution until long after.
I didn't need the navi help mind you was just playing with it and thought :fulloffuck:

I'll give it another try tomorrow maybe it just had a brain fart today

That sounds more like network issues.

I get crazy vibrations with speaker mode on the highest and second highest setting.

Could have been a shitty data connection

Yeah. With my touchpad 2.1a charger my nexus 5 charges so fast. Going to anything less would be blah.

radioman 11-19-2013 10:29 PM

All apps closed.
Time to see how it does during sleep.
Please don't drain 40% again.....

Drow 11-19-2013 11:04 PM

Exchange services draining like mad lol

Hope it goes away soon

My friend with the same phone and carrier isn't experiencing. Did a search online and others have reported this issue. Going to RMA my phone .

Apparently there's a Google play services issue happening now that's draining the battery preventing the device from sleeping however I've yet to see that happen on my phone.
