Did you flash factory rom or the bootloader/radio seperate after flashing cataclysm?

Switched over from Slimkat and back to Catalysm with franco kernel... its not bad.. some features I like on Catalysm and some on Slimkat..

I'm running stock rom and default settings. I'm guessing it's becuase of Google now is becoming more active so I turned it off.. Hopefully that resolves my issue

I've had the same problem and none of the location turning off google now etc have fixed it.

I did some researching apparently its a software bug on the radio, this is what fixed it for me. In your network settings force to 2G, wait till it connects to full bars then Switch to LTE again.

flashed just the bootloader and radio then flashed cataclysm and kernel. All in one go.

This is from yesterday. Used WiFi while at home, had music streaming over Bluetooth for a few hours while in the car and I also keep GPS on and autosync on as well. So far other than that gripe I mentioned before, I'm loving this phone. My s3 could barely get me 10hrs with everything off and running juice defender..

Having issues with the UI occasionally crashing. Also, the recently used apps function is slow as fuck to load up sometimes. Completely stock software. Seems like the software just isn't that polished..like they rushed to release it when it still had some bugs. Hopefully when I get the update it fixes some of the many issues..

The slow recents app button annoys me as well and has been like that since jellybean even on a top-spec'd Android device. It seems that the more apps you have opened, the longer button animation stutters before your recent apps pop up. If you swipe away a few it'll be fine for a while and apps pop up immediately again.

This is actually one of the reasons I switched to ART. There is NO lag (or next to no lag) anytime you hit the recents button. Responds immediately. Huge difference among other little UI advantages in terms of smoothness.

Has anyone tried the camera mod? Specifically with 4.4.1 cataclysm and faux kernel... Just curious

^I haven't bothered flashing the camera mod. It works fast enough with the update as is for me.

Turn Off "Scanning Always Available" Under Advanced WiFi Settings if you haven't already. Apparently that's a culprit for a few people.

Thanks, this definitely solved it. My previous numbers were wrong.. I had 36+ hours down to 12ish hours. Now it's hovering between 16-19 after turning off the scanning.

Any one having issues with voicemail notifications not showing up?

got my RMA device, did a side by side and realized my screen has a yellow-ish tint towards it.

also did some camera tests and there is a red tint on my camera pics

:(

vafanculo 12-09-2013 03:03 PM

Updated to 4.4.2 and now I'm not receiving hangout messages unless I sign out and sign back in.

Unrooted phone.

4.4.2 sounds like it doesnt really add much.. not sure If I want to reflash my phone again.. just flashed 4.4.1 Cataclysm...

!MiKrofT 12-09-2013 04:45 PM

4.4.2 supposedly fixes the VM bug plus some other things. I'll flash when there's a new cataclysm build.

3klipze 12-10-2013 05:44 PM

Any way to make it so that I don't end my calls when i press the power button? This is the most annoying thing.

When I put my call on speaker phone, my screen shuts off after X minutes from my setting.. no way to make it wake up unless I press the power button which drops my call.

on Stock ROM.

essel 12-10-2013 06:06 PM

^ Go to Settings > Accessibility and uncheck "Power button ends call"

3klipze 12-10-2013 06:51 PM

Always thought that was in call settings. Thanks!

Rooted with TWRP running stock. Got the 4.4.2 OTA update automatically, rebooted, goes to TWRP for some reason, I reboot and I'm still on 4.4.

Well that went well...

I dont even use VM.. haha

JKam 12-11-2013 09:58 AM

Cool. 4.4.2 fixed my VM issues. Now I just have to get rid of the text message that notifies me that I have a VM..

Does anyone elses phone restart automatically once in a while? Mine seems to occur once or twice a day

That's weird.

This use to happen to my Galaxy Nexus where it would randomly restart. No idea what that was all about.

It has never happened to my Nexus 5.
