Are you running stock rom?

The camera quality is fine for my N5 in good lighting conditions. My issues with it are focus speed (still slower than my old 4s) and the colours when lighting isn't ideal. It's acceptable but certainly not the best I've ever used.

Overall N5 is a fantastic phone. Just some minor things that bother me but not a deal breaker. I wouldn't hesitate to go back to apple if the 5s was significantly cheaper or the 6 was actually an upgrade.

i was also using a 4s before i got the n5 and honestly the only thing i miss about it is the camera. not going to lie, having a 5" 1080p screen is baws. i picked up my sisters iphone 4 the other day and put it side by side with my phone and the ip4 just feels like a childs toy in comparison now.

If you are concerned about camera, I find the Motorola X's camera reacts quite a bit quicker than the N5. I also prefer how it contours vs the N5. Also the price decrease recently helps too.

The only phones I've owned from apple are 3g and 4s. The rest have been android. 4s camera is OK. I don't think it's any better in camera other than maybe focus speed. I'm running cataclysm which is close to stock ROM. I haven't used a 5 before but the camera is probably better but I'm never going to use an iPhone nor iOS device again.

So I had issues with all GAPPS for some reason not connecting to internet while my other apps worked fine.. So I thought it was time to reflash roms..

I installed:
Vanair and Purity and played with it for about 1hr

Vanair had a FC issue with themes..
Purity felt nice but I didnt like the fact that the camera didnt have HDR mode which I liked and a few other options..

finally went back to Cataclysm...

Been running the latest cataclysm for around 3weeks now. Current phone uptime is 262 hours. Stable and awesome battery life with faux 005m. Not flashing anything for awhile unless slimbean has a release candidate.

Any of you guys running stock still? How is your battery life?
I've been watching reviews but everybody says it's still pretty bad even after the 4.4.2 update.

I'm definitely not a power user. Just the typical hour-ish of phone calls a day, some texting and facebooking and light browsing.

I'm running stock. I'm a medium user and I'll have to charge it around 9-10pm (<15%).

I get maybe 12-14 hrs of battery life. Mostly texting, couple of phone calls and light browsing. Not great but not bad.

Stock. When I was at home for the holidays, I was getting an easy 18 hours with 20% left when I finally plugged it in. Back at school, I got spottier service, so closer to 15 before charging. Still enough to get me through a whole day.

Usually I have a bunch of texting/social media/snapchat. And then maybe 10-15 minutes of calling, and an hour or two of browsing the web.

Yeah. I use moxier or touchdown for my exchange. Works so much better. I do get the occasional crash in chrome now that I think about it. Nothing too serious.

Besides the mediocre camera app (stock), the only bugs would be from custom roms that have FCs or compatibility issues with some apps...

Not planning to flash it anytime soon.
Sigh it looks like I migh have to wait till end of Jan to get it? Estimate date to leave awrehouse is Jan 14. I am guessing is due to the snowstorm happening right now.

Edit I should have the phone by next week. Also I order the wireless charging pad from nexus and Spigen Slim Armor Case for Nexus 5 - Retail Packaging - Infinity White and Spigen Neo Hybrid Case for Nexus 5 - Retail Packaging - Metal Slate for my case.

I had the Spigen Slim Armor for my S4 and 5S before and both are really good quality.

Not the particular seller, but I used one that looks just like that at my friend's.

The only problem I found was how slow it charged.

I get 600~800mAh on my Nokia, Google or Tylt Qi charger. I was only able to get around 300~500 out of the one my friend had.

I guess if you are leaving it next to bed (so you'd charge overnight), it's ok. But for USB charging cord replacement, I'd find something better.

Total for me comes to $463.87 shipped to Burnaby. Says it will leave the warehouse by Jan 17th, estimated shipping is 2-7 business days. I don't believe any carrier is selling the 32gb model.
