Canadian Rider 11-16-2014 03:24 AM

doing the OTA manually was super easy if you have any sort of android rooting experience

Tim Budong 11-16-2014 04:03 AM

nothing but good things to say

PHATFLIP_14 11-16-2014 08:55 PM

roflwaffle604 11-17-2014 01:38 PM

gimme OTA update!!

!Yaminashi 11-17-2014 04:05 PM

Got my OTA today. Anybody using widgetlocker with it?

I know this app hasnt been updated since last year, but I can't find a way to force widgetlocker to bypass the stock lockscreen. So now in order to use an app I paid for, I have to unlock my phone twice..

Expresso 11-17-2014 04:15 PM

Let me know if you do. I've kind of stopped using widget locker since KitKat

Anybody figure out the new adaptive brightness feature out? Reading this article and its like a huge debate on how it works lol.

There's a lot of scratches on your lcd

RCubed 11-19-2014 08:17 AM

updated to pure white 5.0.
Not too impressed.

SpartanAir 11-19-2014 09:38 AM

Overall Lollipop is an improvement, but I must say I really miss the silent profile. The screen would light up and everything would come through still. I liked receiving messages but not having my phone beep or buzz at all; it was helpful in certain places I have to be.

Also, I really miss the old school "TV powerdown" animation when you lock the phone! WTF! Why did they get rid of it? That was the nostalgic in me...gonna take some getting used to the new style.

Also, I've had to uninstall all my previous apps that had popup overlays, which I liked having. Don't like being forced to use the built in ones.

Not too impressed.

what don't you like about it? i've found it great so far other than priority interruptions tend to ignore whatsapp. whatsapp notifications still come through regardless of interruption settings but apparently that's because of Lollipop in general.

RCubed 11-19-2014 10:23 AM

Is still really buggy. (maybe its just this build).
Im getting random hanging a lot more now especially when unlocking the phone.
Ambient light sensor is all retarded now and theres no Xposed repository yet.

Maybe i should try the stock rom. haha.

roflwaffle604 11-19-2014 11:25 AM

Just got my ota update notification! Aww yeahhhh

radioman 11-19-2014 11:47 AM

downloaded and installed mine yesterday! Loving it so far.

The keyboard change will take some getting used to.

Actually it's not Lollipop's fault, it's WhatsApp's.
There are at least two ways sound volume can be controlled in Android: notification volume or ringtone volume. WhatsApp incorrectly ties its sounds to the ringtone volume instead of notifications so Priority mode is ignored if you set your priority mode to allow phone calls through.

If you go to the WhatsApp website and download the latest version (2.11.444), they've corrected the problem. I've been running this one and it works fine in priority mode.

So far I am liking it too, much like StylinRed said I wish there was another colour theme you could have :/

Aside from that anyone know why I would get the update day of, but my classmate still staying its up-to-date as of 4:30 pm today with 4.4?
