I got more problems with 5.0.1, still having the voicemail notification sticking. but now apps crash, slower to load into apps/home screen. and app crashes..

I want just 5 back =/

Aside from that i have not had any battery problems

Anyone else having major problems with signal in the Canada line tunnels? My phone is basically useless now when underground. This is so garbage.

godwin 12-23-2014 12:10 AM

It also depends on the provider.. which provider you are on?

Which carrier are you with? My wife is complaining that she loses internet connection while in a big chunk of the tunnel even though it says she has a connection, she's on Fido ... I, on the other hand, have no problems the whole way and I'm on Bell ...

Anyone know if Lollipop on the Nexus 4/5 have any tethering issues still like it did with Kit Kat when using T-Mobile's signal down in the states?

Tim Budong 12-30-2014 05:38 PM

My battery life improves so much back in Vancouver. Fucking ridiculous. I don't even know what it is haha

!Yaminashi 12-30-2014 11:47 PM

I really wish the Widgetlocker developers would update their app to be more material design and to work with lollipop in general. Such a great paid app and it seems like it's been forgotten

G-spec 12-31-2014 04:12 AM

anyone have any idea what this mysterious Android.sandbox....etc.... the fuck it is ??

it pops up like once a week on my phone and just rapes my battery, then disappears into the shadows....

i was about to get rid of this phone because my wifi and bluetooth were not working at all for like 2 months (hardware issue) then I had my phone off for a full day one time now its back to normal... so if anyone else having that issue, try that

radioman 01-03-2015 09:50 AM

So recently while charging my phone at night I wake up to my phone being turned off. The battery is full but the device turns itself off. Kind of frustrating because I can miss an alarm.

I'm going to reset the device but I was wondering if this is a new safety feature with the update or maybe my battery is getting worse and the phone is over heating or something when charging.

Anyone have this happen to them?

radioman 01-03-2015 11:09 AM

And after trying to factory reset my phone is bricked.

Trying to fix it now..... if anyone wants to share their wisdom I'd love the help

using this https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images

Thanks. I've been trying this and once I flashed the phone is stuck in a bootloop of the google icon and then the android robot and just keeps repeating.

Frustrating.

OK its been a day and my head is exploding.

If anyone wants to help a brother out and fix my phone you get a case of beer or w/e you want.

I'm pretty pissed right now.

Did you fully wipe your phone? It sounds like you haven't fully wiped the device properly.

Should wipe it manually. Start at the boot loader screen and relock the bootloader: "fastboot OEM lock"
Then unlock it again "fastboot OEM unlock" which will then tell you it will wipe the device.
Then flash the image files manually one at a time (boot.img, system.img, userdata.IMG).
Then type: "fastboot -w" to format userdata one more time because sometimes the userdata that comes with factory images screws up the partition size (32gb becomes 16gb by mistake)
Then reboot and see if it boots up android. Its almost impossible to brick a nexus especially when you're able to reflash the system images.

Do you know if the Rogers variant needs a different image set???

Nope. Nexus 5 is unlocked and does not have any other variants with respect to the ROM.

radioman 01-04-2015 11:18 PM

So when I use method 1 of this link [TUTORIAL] How to flash a factory image | Re… | Google Nexus 5 | XDA Forums and in the cmd window everything says OKAY and nothing failed the phone turns off and goes to this;

http://i.imgur.com/V2oY8A7.jpg

It will turn on and off and keep going to it.

So sorry to ask the same questions twice if I am but what are my next steps?

and if I hit the power and then volume up this error message appears;

R5x 01-05-2015 12:42 AM

Can you format your device properly with fastboot commands in cmd without any errors?
(eg. fastboot erase userdata; fastboot erase cache)?

If you cannot, then the memory on your n5 might be screwed.

If you can, then you don't need to do another factory reset in recovery. All you have to do is flash each of the .img files one at a time, finish off by erasing the cache and (optionally, userdata as well) then type: "fastboot reboot" and you should be good to go.

Let it sit and do its thing and go walk away for about 10-15 minutes. Sometimes first boot takes forever and if you get antsy and interrupt it you'll never find out if it's booting or not.

radioman 01-05-2015 06:02 AM

No I will get the cache error from if I try it.

Tim Budong 01-05-2015 03:55 PM

i have a feeling it could be memory...

which process is showing this error when flashing?

radioman 01-05-2015 04:50 PM

sorry I may have confused you.

When I flash there are no error messages whats so ever

clearing the cache from stock recovery no good?

I may even attempt to redownload the entire OS from google again as it may be a bad download?

see if MD5 sum matches?

Thats all I got...

but like above...if the memory is messed up...then im sorry sir

radioman 01-13-2015 06:43 PM

OK so I managed to flash 4.4.4 and my device turns on.

Now googleplay/camera do not work.

It does not recongnize a network and I cant make calls/texts and sim does nothing to fix it.

Any idea?
