The phone is mine so not blacklisted.
I noticed the IMEI number is written on the SIM card holder so I can figure out what it is easy.

Was looking for an official battery and not some cheap Chinese relabel. I called LG Canada and their phone menu transfers you to local shop Reliable Parts, who can order near any LG part directly.

Had my battery in hand 1 week later for $50 plus $8 shipping (Coquitlam pick up available). My Visa extended warranty covered the cost.

Self install was easy. My old battery had expanded/bulged to twice the size, and would go from 100% charge to 0% in 5 minutes (no exaggeration). With this new battery I'm getting much better results.

not seeing much improvement with 5.1 in terms of battery life. gonna try a factory reset and start fresh to see if it has any improvement

Experiencing the boot loop problem. Looks like battery button is stuck internally. I whacked it a coupled times and its fixed. Google and LG not willing to take it back despite its manufacturing defect?

Should I just go to crystal mall to get the phone fixed or is it plagued with this problem?

i've been running a pure white rom 5.1, significant battery drain until I turned off Google Now. Don't know if it's isolated to this ROM though but apparently it applies to other ROM's as well according to my search results

my nexus 5 wont recognize my bell sim card for some reason anymore. works fine with a wind sim card which is weird.. bell sim works fine in my iphone. the sim itself does have some scratches on the brass(?) part so that could have something to do with it.

I hate it when the article is ambiguous. Is it the first gen Nexus 7? or the 2nd gen Nexus 7 that is affected?

The previous issues seem to be affecting the first gen Nexus 7, and I suspect this is what they are referring to. For what it is worth, my 2nd gen Nexus 7 has been fine with Lollipop.

Installing Purity Rom 5.2 on my phone now... I was waiting for the guy to make a new Purity, but original XDA thread hadn't been updated in months. Turns out he moved it to Google+ for some reason....

Google set to release two Nexus phones this fall | MobileSyrup.com

Quote:
Google is set to release two Nexus phones this fall, according to sources close to Android Police.

The site is reporting that Google will follow up the Nexus 5 with another LG-built smartphone, a 5.2-inch device dubbed ‘Angler’. The smartphone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 808 chip and a 2,700mAh battery, though both of those details could change. The idea is to recreate the success of the Nexus 5 by releasing Angler at the $350-$400 price point.

So Google is basically admitting that their Nexus 6 attempt at the high end market was a failure.

Well... at least they finally got the memo.

Not really, they're releasing two phones. Angler will be the successor to the N5 and Bullhead will succeed the N6.

That's cool as my N5 is beginning to fall apart, noticed the white back cover is lifting up from the black front housing, exposing the internals... its as if whatever adhesive they used just dissipated

I expect that the N6 successor will also probably not sell well.
