Prepping for my trip to revelstoke in feb Anyone have a recommendation for a snowboard tune up place? Planing for a full package sort of thing as I want it to be killer on my trip. All i see on CL are these http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/va...306211479.html http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/rd...297620191.html http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/pm...294083678.html Might the VST or Ladner, but rather go to a place someone can vouch for. |
There's also vanski.ca near main and 2nd. I havent been there myself though. Posted via RS Mobile |
If it's super cold this week, apparently supposed to get to -11, will we see snow up high? And if so quite a bit I hope Posted via RS Mobile |

I hope this snowstorm dumps! Posted via RS Mobile |
Going to Seymour tomorrow to teach some friends how to ski. Will report. edit: not too shabby. A little icey, but nothing to complain about - especially for the green runs. Blues are ok. Didn't try black. |
wow! as of today, forecasted snow for Monday evening is 19cm and 16 cm Tuesday morning!!! |

Monday being family day might be quite busy? I was thinking wednesday, or tuesday if i can get all my work done on the weekend. Anyone else? |
If I have a job Tuesday and don't have to work immed, I'd be up for Wednesday Posted via RS Mobile |
Sorry, I'll be gone to Whistler Wednesday. What about the weekend? |

I still kind of want to go wednesday though, so far its only me as I havent asked anyone else yet besides you guys here. |
Last year whistler has 50% off on family day and it wasn't busy. I don't think it wit willl be like that this year. I'm up at big white right now and a lot of the residences in big white are occupied for this weekend. I'm back in town tommorow so I may give whistler or one of the local mountains a try since its suppose to dump snow. Update for bigwhite: I would classify it as packed powder. Its not icy but its still an enjoyable time. If anyone wants an update in the morning let me know and I'll post one, otherwise I'm on my way back to the gvrd in the afternoon Posted via RS Mobile |
anyone go to grouse for their 24hr event? |
its overnight tonight isn't it? |
yup, im going there tonight |
I've been to the 24/7 grouse during the Olympics and swore to never go again. I can't justify paying to wait in a lift line for 10 minutes to ride on that mountain. I haven't been back since the first one so I was wondering if its better or worse then the first time I went at 2 am expecting no lines. Posted via RS Mobile |
Its more fun to just go up and hang out/have a few beers. We took up some flasks and rode park during sunrise a few years ago. It was when I had a seasons pass there though when I first moved to Vancouver. Since the olympics isn't, um, in vancouver this time, you probably won't be dealing with the same lineups. Van was kinda busier then. |
Snow all day Tuesday at cypress, so Wednesday should be good. Aiming to head up around 1/130. Riding solo unless some of you guys are down too. :alone: BTW I just need ID to pick up gold medal catch right? Posted via RS Mobile |
Reading cypress site right now isn't calling for snow. This is monday and tuesday's forecast http://www.yr.no/place/Canada/Britis...5/forecast.pdf drivers license for gold medal card, I don't think they need confirmation email but maybe have it handy on phone just incase. ? |
... So tempting.. finally some snow.. but USD is so high.. http://i.imgur.com/uylO0Ejl.jpg |
Your pass will be 55 dollars instead of 50. Seriously? |
