^ Only hit up Morrisey in the first half of the season. As soon as it starts warming up again, the mountain turns to icy shit through 'til the season ends. Sundance and Tod Mt are solid all season.

I've said it before in previous threads i've replied in. I may weigh 160, but i know that i most certainly don't ride like anyone that is at the same weight range as i.
Yes it's a proven fact, that longer boards equate to higher swing weight, but that only applies to taking the board and trying to spin big numbers. It's the literal difference between spinning a 7, and spinning a 10.
And it's also known [or not] that snowboards can have varying contact/running lengths. giving you the stability to take a shorter board and have it perform [on snow] like a longer board. prime example, is the burton nugget.
So with all these provisions given to you, you should ideally look at all the specs of a snowboard, including laminate, and including the numbers per size. They do make a difference. Even if they're boring tech.
while one board might be a 160, it could have the effecting edge of a board that is a 145, but a HUGE scoop for nose and tail. Making it really effective in powder, where you want the nose of the board to find it's way to the surface, for that float. | I clearly mentioned that I was trying to mold him into a freestyle rider...
You speak to me as if I do not look at all the specs of my board when I bought it; however, I can tell you that I certainly pay very close attention. I ride very differently than most people as I am a really flowy rider.
Also I need some very specific things to be met for myself because I am a tall dude with big feet but I am very skinny (re: very light).
Also regarding contact edges, I end up detuning a lot of my edge, more than most people, sometimes into the contact patch.
Also while I generally ride one board opening day to closing day, I do have a jibbing board, and a regular camber board for when I want to hit the blackpark. Sorry but my reverse camber just feels squirly stomping a 60' jump.
@Westopher:
As said above, I like hybrid as well for all mountain riding. Lets me do a little of everything, but I still rock a full camber board when I want to throw myself off the big jumps.

I wasn't aware that i directed that explicitly to you.
But since you did mention your parameters, it's understandable how you could have gotten it mistaken.

Last season for their opening day, a lot of people who left the bars at 3am, just went and lined up at the lifts. Crazy bastards... |

Its on in the Northwest! A few of us went up to Baker yesterday to look around and see if there was enough cover for some early season turns. Turns out 20 inches fell overnight! Baker was epic yesterday. If temps stay cold they should be opening next weekend. Yeww!

Just picked up a new ski for the season, 4frnt CRJ in 188cm. Nice and long as i found my 178 way too short.
Can't wait to get back to BC over the holidays and shred some gnar.

Just came back from Cypress. It was a decent first day. Blue bird, decent temperature, and some real soft pow on the sides. Other than that it was almost all bumpy and icy especially near the bottom of the run. But some riding is better than none at all.

Should probably also mention that Backcountry.com is having a wicked black friday/thanksgiving sale right now. Just got my skis for 45% off. $375 for a pair that retails at $650-7 00.
