using laptop screen to play console systems?
any suggestions as to what device, software, or cable adapters i would need to make this happen? Anyway I could use the hdmi port and connect the consoles to my laptop? I've read about "easycap" but apparently it is not good and no sound capture. Goin on a long road trip with some friends and this would be helpful. thanks

since you have a laptop you would need a usb tuner. I havent seen a tuner with HDMI in so you would be stuck with composite out (yellow video cable, red/white audio) or S-video at best. might as well bring an lcd monitor with you since you.
