Correct. There is a 7-year exemption. Posted via RS Mobile |

Cars are just getting better, and the need for having facilities for air care was simply becoming a huge burden. I mean sure there are still cars who would benefit from us having air care in place, but at some point you gotta say the cons are outweighing the pros lets try to put our money elsewhere to make a bigger change...

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a new carbon tax if the govt truly kills the program. The govt can't touch the money the program brings in under the current legislation, but once that's over who knows... Posted via RS Mobile |

is anybody else scared for all the uncatted, loud, and horrible sounding modified cars on January 1, 2015?
My poor ears.

My poor ears. | Doubtful, I would imagine that ppl who want that, have that, and just get the cat swapped in for air care.
The amount of ppl who want to go catless is very low, you won't notice a difference.
Equally, other than costing us, the consumer, an awful lot of money and inconvenience, I don't think aircare has made any significant changes in emissions, especially when it's a lower mainland thing, only- we're hardly saving the world (although I do like that every little counts, but not like how air care was done)
Sorry, I'll stop ranting now - but I hate air care (I drive a newer car, so don't even need to do it and I hate the idea of it) - don't do an air care, do an MOT like in England, assess the whole car, from a safety, emissions, and efficiency basis - this helps all of the environment, the owner, and other road users, but our government is so stupid, they won't even be able to comprehend this
Ok, rant is really over now

Ha...yes.
Aircare closes....a nice little money producing empire without competition. We have all these pretty little shops already set up, and paid off years ago.
Yeah...I'm sure they'll just close them down.
Two words: vehicle inspection.
We'll end up missing the days of aircare.

We'll end up missing the days of aircare. | It's sad that we have such distrust of our government, but we have a right to distrust them... The government is meant to be there to serve OUR best interests, not theirs, but it's definitely the other way round
I'm all for vehicle inspections, if it stops one fucktard driving on bald tires ramming down a little old lady at a crosswalk, it will all be worthwhile. But the government has no right to be involved in this other than setting up guidelines and certifying shops to carry out the inspections (private garages/shops, that is)

| Aircare possible fail ..
Hi. First time poster. My wife's car has an engine light on. I haven't been able to figure out for sure what to do and am running out of time. If she transfers the ownership to me, would I be able to insure it before aircare expired and then have until next year to figure out the problem? Her aircare expires on Monday, I think.
It is a 2002 PT Cruiser. Error code suggests I need a new computer. It also has an oil light on .. Suggestions are likely a loose oil pressure sensor wire. Any ideas?
Sorry for two questions on one post.
Thanks.

just cancel the insurance then renew it for a year. If you want to make it less shady, pay the 40 dollars and transfer it to your name, then renew for a year.
