lol Reginald Cruz, the guy who brake checked the suv and subsequently stopped, is claiming he had no intention to brake check the suv as that would be stupid since he's in a little 500lb bike and he was turning his head around simply to look for his friend
In his interview, he is trying to take advantage of the shitty quality video that is being used as evidence. His story is that he never even hit his brake but was just riding slow.
Upon closer inspection, it's clear that his brake light does come on and the news reporter should have confronted him on that while he sat there with his lawyer.
These punks sure did lawyer up fast...I'm sure they know the drill and have need for these attorneys on the yearly.
What's funny in one of the interviews given outside the courthouse, another defendant's lawyer says this his client is not the thug that everyone is portraying to be...um, were you not there when your client came to his own court proceeding in sweats and fingered the media??
Besides, look at this picture of three of the defendants and you tell me that they don't look like thugs:
"...Consuegra explains that while he stood between Alexian and the riders there was one moment when it wasn't clear that the situation was over, when they shouted that Aleixan had run over one of their own, when more riders were arriving. But Consuegra locked eyes with one of the bikers and brought the beating to a halt."
Just goes to show how one guy with "right" on his side can put down a mob without lifting a finger. Also shows what pussies these guys were once the mob mentality was broken.
i wish it could have worked during the stanley cup riots. some got beaten for their efforts

What's the condition of the Driver.. is he gonna make it?
nothing much more has been said after his release from the hospital and the statement made by his wife...

initial reports mentioned nothing life threatening...the lasting effects i would imagine would be the trauma to his daughter...and wife...
the guy that saved him...stating that he heard another guy say to the wife "you're going to get it too" ... wow ...these scumbags...glad the crowd of bystanders yelled to leave the lady alone...he probably heard a crowd forming and backed off...
More troubling news.....Undercover NYPD officer arrested for participating in SUV attack:
".....The officer is expected to be charged with criminal mischief for allegedly banging on and breaking the rear window of the SUV. The detective waited four days before coming forward to the NYPD and he allegedly made false statements about his involvement....."

so there were several officers in the group of bikers -_-
Quote:
As for the police officers who were part of the motorcycle group, Miller said a detective has come forward, and another police officer is getting ready to come forward.
"There are two other police officers who were in the ride," Miller said. "So the police department has not actually sat down and done the Q and A with all of them. So this picture is unfolding more slowly than investigators would like."
I don't agree with the title, it's not really an "OWNED" but Gloria Allred is certainly dumb as shit on this one...
Important to remember that it doesn't matter how dumb an argument the defense attorneys are making, they NEED to make one...a defense is better than none.
What does irritate me the most is that people aren't calling out the fact that the rider did a brake stop! You can see the brake light go on and no one in the media has looked at video close enough to see that and make a point of it towards the defense attorney.
Attorney Gloria Allred, representing Edwin Mieses Jr., the biker who was crushed, claims Lien bumped another motorcycle while changing lanes on the highway 2 to 3 miles before his SUV knocked into biker Christopher Cruz.
“We have evidence that he hit that (first) bike and didn’t stop,” Allred said by phone.
Right, so ASSUMING this is true... instead of calling 911 and reporting the guy and getting help for the biker who got clipped, they all decide to go Mad Max and rage on the guy.
Quote:
Allred declined to say what other witnesses had contacted her, but another biker who participated in the rally, Louis Castaldo, gave a similar account in an interview on Fox 5 News.
Castaldo said that when bikers tried to approach Lien’s Range Rover, Lien “decides to run over three or four people. … He should have just apologized.”
I see, so when a mass of bikers, who've been riding like assholes already, brake-check you and then swarm your vehicle, the first thing you think is, "Hey, I should just roll down my window and say sorry, that will defuse the situation and everything will be fine!"

Holy, I didn't know that there were at least 4 undercover officers within that gang of bikers...
Sad that the undercover officer fell into his role so hard that he couldn't pull himself out and help the driver
