As Twitchyzero said, i dont remember Godzilla being as big as an island. It could be just the angle and optical illusion but who knows.

still looking forward to seeing this.

I plan on taking my son tomorrow assuming I can get assigned seating earlier in the day, I don't do lineups. Anyone see it yet?

just watched the last showing last night and man did that movie take my breath away! call me stupid if you think the movie was lame but i could care less because to me it was epic! It showed just how badass Godzilla is and why he is the king of monsters. The movie was also well done because it kept its roots but also gave it a very realistic feel instead of being a complete fantasy.

I left the theater feeling my money was well worth it.

for those who have seen it:

Just got back from it

I'm a big Godzilla fan, and I was very disappointed. Grew up on Godzilla, watched about 10 of the older Godzilla movies.

4/10

Not enough fighting. Throughout the entire 2+hour long movie, combined had about 3 minutes of Godzilla fighting.

Would have really liked it if they threw in a remix of the original Godzilla theme, but they didn't

Really disappointed, considering Godzilla was completely badass in this one

Will need to watch Godzilla vs Destroyah or Godzilla: Final Wars again, to cleanse my brain of this

I wasn't interested at all until you posted that. I don't want to see a bunch of stupid CGI effects and explosions, but the characters look interesting so my interest has gone from 2/10 to maybe 5/10 now

I didn't like the movie, thought it was cliche and predictable. The monsters looked great though!

I thought it was a good movie overall - especially for a remake, it's not bad.

Seeing all the trailers and teasers, I had high expectations going into the movie. It wasn't that great imo, 5/10.

Thought Bryan Cranston will get more screen time.

1998 godzilla had puff daddy and green day soundtrack, AND buelers day off dude.

6/10.

2014 godzilla had walter white... and... kickass dude...

6.3/10

would give it a 7, if they had another puff daddy sound track. yeah.

no.

movie wasn't that great. walter white, is just, whiny walter white, like that extremely desperate, almost always on the edge of crying walter white.

monsters... eh, the fight scenes were sub par. i duno, the whole thing seemed retarded, if it weren't for the production value, the movie would be straight to dvd... or straight to netflix haha.
