Ron Burgundy is spokeman for New Dodge Durango

Dodge has enlisted the help of Ron Burgundy for a series of short clips and Vines to promote the new Durango. This is a such a brilliant marketing move. Apparently there will be 70 videos. Here are a few that have been released so far.

I'm actually a huge fan of the new Durango. On the street, the front end looks crazy badass, tons of road presence. Unfortunately I feel like it's a still a very niche vehicle that not many people would consider as an option when looking for a larg(er) crossover.

i work for a large dodge dealership and there is alot to be said about these Durangos!

very nice vehicles but the downside is the cost..

i think this is a good marketing plan by Chrysler as i think their recent attempts have failed.. they are obviously shooting for a younger demographic and this one will grab some attention!

pretty funny though!

Snails...what are people paying for these things? As in, whats the common load, out the door?

And is it still body on frame?

Oh!and if yes, would it kill them to turn a few into some fucking trucks? Maybe call it a 'Dakota'?

Does the interior have mahogany trim?

Yes it would, as the marketing department decided that a dakota would not make sense given there is a dodge ram v6.

I agree, it looks pretty badass. It's sad that Chrysler decided to get rid of leases in Canada, it's one reason why you don't see too many new Chrysler made vehicles on the road today.

Hahaha. I love it

Seriously? You can't lease a Chrysler?

That's kind of an issue. That kind of says to me, "we really don't want these things back".

Or, our finances are so shit, we can't get the line of credit needed to lease.

Either way, its shooting your own foot off.

Yup, after the economic crash they ended leasing but I believe Chrysler signed a new deal with Westminster savings credit union which is based out of New West to start providing leases across Canada for some models.

Timpo 10-13-2013 08:20 AM

hahaha if that's really the case Chrysler is definitely heading to Chapter 11.

Gridlock 10-13-2013 09:46 AM

I knew that it ended when they were, you know, ending.

But I figured that their new happy marriage with the Italians would put them back in business.

Otherwise, what's the point in marrying a rich foreigner if not for the money? Out of love? They tried that with the Germans.
