Aldo is very good, though IMO overrated (much the same way Barao was overrated but also very good) However it's a new era in the UFC, and he can't get away with what he could before (and even then, he was getting through by the skin of his teeth). He's a new fighter and a new person now, and his first fight will be against Conor who will flourish under the new rules. (especially if they can overturn that stupid ban on IV rehydration) |
Aldo will be giving up a fair bit of height and reach. Hes always had a lot of success by quickly getting in and out against smaller opponents. Everyone hes fought has been same size smaller than him except Kenfo and KZ. Conor is 2 inches taller and 4 inches more reach and fights even bigger than he is. |

Always believed Conor would get killed by Aldo until I saw more of his fights and saw how badly Conor fucked with Aldo's head during all of the build up. Add in the fact that Jose will have to be off of his special supplements, I see Conor being able to unify the belt. Aldo is a beast, but McGregor's got most of the advantages when you take everything into consideration. This isn't underestimating Aldo, either. |

heard about that earlier in the week. wonder if he'll sign with bellator or WSOF if they offer more $ or to troll dana :lol i don't know at his age how he'll fare against UFC's top heavy's. but imagine if he beat verdum in a rematch and becomes champion :accepted: |
mir vs duffee on fox Spoiler! |
Bodies have definitely been changing since the TRT rules have come in to play. Just look at Mir lol. |
Dadbod Mir. Duffee looked like he didn't know how to MMA |
Ufc just fired stitch for saying he wished reebok consulted him about the cutman uniforms since they are lacking in the utility and pockets they need |
He also shit on them about how he's losing his sponsor money, says boxing pays more and he'd like to be able to work with other promotions but it's too busy with the UFC Now he's free and clear to work for any of them lol |
Sucks they had to let him go, but that's what you get when you talk shit about your employer I guess. Most fighters have to watch what they say too - some more than others of course. |
He says he's the most pissed because him and Dana go back 15 years and Dana didn't have the balls to call him himself. edit for autocorrect nonsense |
he said rebook deal prevents him from putting sponsors on his clothing and he wasn't getting compensated anything for it unlike fighters. i read somewhere on BE that he was making like $100,000/year off sponsors iirc. inb4 early stoppages on cut open fighters due to inexperienced cutmen :troll: don't talk shit about UFC - guess only thing shielding aldo from his comments is that belt :lawl: |
he said he had to wear the reebok shit but wasn't getting any sponsorship money from it. and was losing $100k a year in sponsorship because of it. good interview on mmajunkie radio http://mmajunkie.com/2015/07/cutman-...fc-reebok-deal |

doesn't stop them from trying though. aldo's lawyer called up sonnen and threatened a lawsuit if he didn't stop talking about "fake" xrays sonnen said he's just repeating media and she said ya, media from UFC, and they already got the call to stop. the relationship is definitely sour if you're sic'ing your lawyers on the UFC. |

Moving up to 145 maybe? |
Who are the dummies who took Barao as the underdog thinking the first fight was won with that punch in the first? :troll: |
Barao looked like shit. Maybe I've got to watch it againl, but Dillashaw looked a tad bit "off" as well, even though his performance was amazing. TJ looked faster and more explosive in the first bout. Barboza-Felder was an amazing match too. |
TJ was insanely efficient in this match, only expending energy when he needed to. He didn't waste a single calorie. It was awesome to watch, reminds me of Frank Shamrock in his prime in a way. Barao wasn't any more 'off' than he was the first time, he just didn't adjust at all. He must have really thought he lost the first match because of a 'fluke punch' (his words). A shorter gas tank maybe, but that's going to be the case for everyone from now on. I expect the same thing to happen with Conor vs Aldo. Unfortunately so do most people, so he's not the underdog like TJ was the first time :\ |

He probably could have done that earlier, but waited until Barao was a complete non threat |
