Ronda's jaw wasn't broken. She got a split lip a possible concussion. I assume her mouth was open because she was completely exhausted.
As for a rematch it really depends on how Rousey prepares for the fight. Holm would probably be prepared for more of the same, so Ronda has to come up with a new game plan, maybe incorporate some wrestling takedowns. She was able to take Holm down once even after she was already losing, and was actually decently close to securing the armbar according to Faras Zahabi (it didn't look that close to me but what do I know)
Rousey is an armbar wizard and really all she needs to do is have better stamina and protect herself from strikes better. Can Edmond help her with that? Who knows...
Any talk of a rematch is of course pending Holm passing drug tests from here on out...

It really feels like people are grasping at straws to lessen the blow that Rousey got beat...until she pops hot you gotta give her the benefit of the doubt. It's not like they can't test her whenever so that would be a dangerous game to play. How do you time random testing?

You should always say "drug test not withstanding" for a few days or weeks after someone wins a title fight, especially if there are questions about their history

Go ahead and say it if you want... I started suspecting Holm after seeing her at her last weigh in... But there wasn't much to talk about after her fight so whatevs...
I am amazed that Aldo passes his tests, and I've said it here every time. It will be interesting to see how he looks, to say the least.

Well if she is using its only a matter of time before she's caught, I'm sure the UFC would love nothing more than to catch her so they can hype Ronda up as undefeated again lol
And after seeing Ronda not show her face at the airport in starting to question how much she wants to fight Holly again... It's all fun and games till your pretty face gets mangled

He won't get caught, he's not licensed or scheduled. They don't test people who aren't licensed or scheduled. Not yet at least (despite what we were told when they introduced the new testing)
He has free reign to do whatever the fuck he wants in terms of PEDs as the risk of getting caught appears to be zero.
Edit: He hasn't been scheduled until now, so he may be at risk of a test. Still not licensed though, and I'm not sure which of the two even matters. The whole "new era of testing" has been a complete flop, so really it's like nothing has changed anyway.

so once you are licensed then you are subject to random testing and must inform them of your whereabouts at all times so they can test you if need be correct?
i recall cowboy did an impromptu vegas trip and they knocked on his door to test him and he wasn't home so they gave him a 'failure to blah blah' <- not inform and show up for random testing.

I can't wait for Jones return, it's almost a joke watching DC acting like he's the champ, give me a break.
The real champ is JJ, if I was DC I'd be pissing myself, JJ is looking BEASTLY. I've heard he's pushing some crazy numbers in a gym, like a 550lbs squat? I'll need to read it again but his lifting numbers were insane, especially for a guy who never used to train with weights.

They only test people who are licensed and scheduled to fight, the only exception being Cyborg for obvious reasons.
The testing program so far has not nearly lived up to the hype they put on it. I'm sure the whole thing is detailed, but here's an article that goes over the announcement. They used to say every fighter would be subject to testing in and out of competition around 5 times a year. This has never happened. They also threatened surprise middle of the night tests, but so far that hasn't happened. I think one guy got a 6am wakeup call, so maybe they'll start now.
I'm not sure exactly what you're questioning.. When you say you heard the opposite, what do you mean? Opposite of what? And where did you hear it?

Was wondering where you read that the testing has been a complete flop.
It was just rolled out 4 months ago, Im sure its going to take a bit of time to get it ramped up. Jeff Novitzy was on the JRE a month or 2 ago and said the whole thing was still growing.
Sofar 110 athletes have been selected under the program with 222 total drug tests.
As well, according to USADA's website, which seems to be a little outdated, there were 53 out of competition tests done in Q3 http://ufc.usada.org/testing/results/testing-numbers/
