I wouldn't really blame the judges. I thought round 1 could of gone either way
2-4 Hendricks 3-5 GSP

I bet if gsp mentioned that he wud retire for a bit before the fight that Hendricks takes it.
I am glad that lawler ruined tristars plan to have Rory take over had they both won.
Lol @ uncle dana saying he had gsp only winning 1 round. He madddddddd | I don't agree that it should be based on damage. GSP has always had thin skin and bled easily... what if someone got ONE punched in the face and got hurt BAD in one round, but completely dominated the rest of the round via ground and pound etc.. it doesn't mean the person that got one punched should lose the round.

Another thing about gsp retiring. Rory losing his fight made him hesitate about leaving for a bit. Joe rogan had to get it out of him. I'm sure the rematch will happen

At the scrum Dana said that GSP's problem isn't as big as he thought. He said that Georges will be back no later than usual, and will have a rematch with Hendricks. My guess would be the Dallas stadium show which is Johny's home town and will be a monster show

this reflects how i saw the fight as well. hendricks looked really good in the rounds he won and GSP did just enough to win his. at the end of the day, i didn't mind the decision.

^^nope lol but that was such a nasty punch i felt bad for koschek. Imagine if woodley launched a kick right at koscheks face instead of a punch after the first hit when he was down but not grounded

Does this look like the face of a winner? Lol Big Rig Johny Hendricks didn't even have a scratch on him
I see what shogun did to machida is going to happen to GSP. |

I wouldnt say thats a fair assumption, because GSP almost always looks liek that after every fight (diaz, condit). But I do agree Hendricks did the most damage anyone has done to GSP

Like some people, Georges bruises easily and has scar tissue under his eyes. If he takes hits, he looks really bad.
This is why they score the rounds instead of doing the old Tank Abbott line of "well he looks worse than me so I won"
The scoring system sucks, and if they scored the whole fight or didn't use a 10 point must system, Hendricks would have won.
But they don't score that way, so GSP won
So yes, he looks like a winner

BTW to the people complaining about the judges (Dana), the dissenting judge, Trowbridge, has been the dissenting opinion 3 of 15 times this year already, including picking Rory MacDonald to win last night.
Tony Weeks has been around for a long time and is the dissenting judge about 1 time a year
Sal D'Amato is one of the most experienced judges in MMA today, and UFC hires ALMOST EVERY TIME they go somewhere with no commission.
Dana wants the Nevada government to step in to fire these guys, but he hires them himself all the time. If Dana wanted to have a point to make, he would hire judges that have never or rarely ever work in Nevada. Maybe hire people in the press since they like to cheer him as he rants on these judges?

Someone on a forum made a good point.
The beard hendricks had was too much. Curious if someone with a thick beard has a slight advantage
i.e// Slight cushion, causing the punch to slide/slip, if you bruise the skin, you can't target it because you have no idea, etc.
When going for a choke, you have to take a second or less longer to get that grip, etc

Arlovski's beard is nothing compared to Hendricks'. Actually for me it seems like it helps him keep chokes from getting under his chin more than it helps cushion punches.
