Cowboy was looking to get another fight within the next several weeks, so it's interesting that he's not the one facing McGregor given their trash talking and both have huge name recognition.
Be honest. The only reason nate got the fight is because it is the easiest fight for Conor that would be relevant at 170. He gets to beat a guy with some name recognition, even tho he's lost 3 of his last 5 fights and has only won 2 fights in the last 4 years. I'm betting if he beats nate, we never see him at 145 again and the Rds fight goes away and he fights Robbie at 200. That is the fight they've been building towards, and now they don't have to risk Conor being exposed by a wrestler on his way there
Fully agree. And maybe, just maybe, like half the population on the planet, he just wants the chance to punch Diaz in the face. Over and over and over again. haha
the interesting thing will be to see how conor deals with diaz who is taller and longer than him, and uses his reach well. conor's never fought a bigger guy before
Diaz has reach and is good on the ground, this isn't a gimme fight like some are making it out to be. I guess it's easier to be outraged if you think that

+1 for reach, ground game and good chin (minus loss to thompson)
Presser is on now. Comedy. Diaz can't say anything other than "I don't give a fuck"
Connor "You throw gang signs with the right hand and balloon animals with the left, You teach kids BJJ on Sundays" lmao
Diaz calling all the fighters in the UFC on Juice including Connor. Connor calls him out and says that his team mates were caught on the juice and asked if Nate knew they were on Juice. That shit Diaz right the fuck up.
"you made 20 grand in your last fight, now you're a millionaire. you're welcome!"
"i aint give a fuck... i aint give a fuck.. they called me. i aint give a fuck"
Honestly I wanna see what Holm really has for striking. If she just coasted her first few fights and we saw a glimpse of what she's capable of with Rousey, she could be dominant for awhile, if she can avoid or defend ground game. Tate needs to close distance and try for a take down IMO in order to have a chance.
It's weird because Holm didn't look impressive at all until the Ronda fight. That's why she was such an underdog, and it was such a shocking performance. It's like that's the only thing she ever even cared about or trained for, even though right after the fight people suddenly realized that she was this amazing striker.
Anyway, now she's the champ and has to look like that against different opponents. I honestly have no idea... I'd favour Holm even before the Ronda fight, but Tate is a tough girl. When you have these tough wrestlers they can win fights they aren't supposed to. I'm definitely looking forward to the fight!
hope tate has a good game plan and closes the distance and uses her grappling game.
when she went against ronda she shoulda used her striking and kept trying to take her down over and over getting slammed in to the mat
