Ariel kicked out before Bisping fight, and banned from UFC for life for breaking Brock news LUL

Ch28 06-04-2016 10:55 PM

Jesus

Ariel is like one of the good credible guys, too.

Not really racist! 06-04-2016 11:03 PM

This press conference is gold, my god

Ch28 06-04-2016 11:05 PM

I wonder how much backlash Zuffa will get for the outright banning for life of the entire MMAFighting.com team just because Ariel reported the Lesnar signing.

He's really well respected among fighters and media alike, so I wonder how this is all going to shake down.

SkinnyPupp 06-04-2016 11:10 PM

People loved Stitch and Burt too...

cunninglinguist 06-04-2016 11:16 PM

Anybody watching the post fight conference? LOL, Luke is such a poor loser. Majorly butthurt.

Difference is that Ariel got banned for doing his job and reporting news of the imminent return of one of the biggest stars in the history of the sport.

jonwon 06-05-2016 01:27 AM

How much of an underdog was Bisping.... That was almost a guaranteed win for Luke. It didn't even cross my mind to risk putting money on him

Nvm, damn. Salthold was -600

Welcome to Bisping as champion! PogChamp PogChamp PogChamp

Also this is the most personality Luke has shown since he started fighting. Not the best look, but better than being boring. It makes a rematch seem interesting

GodZilla 06-05-2016 02:00 PM

How about where was Herb Dean? Hendo had to stand there as he was announced the winner with no one to raise his hand.

GLOW 06-05-2016 03:53 PM

So rematch with Silva so he can be champ again? :troll:

jdmhaze 06-05-2016 04:19 PM

This is about the only time Bisping could have been champ. Wasn't going to happen with AS in this prime. He got his opportunity and made the most of it, so congrats to him.

MarkyMark 06-05-2016 07:41 PM

Pretty happy for Bisping. He's probably not long for the belt but the fact that he's fought lots of guys that ended up getting popped for something later on as well as the shit with his eye, it's a nice moment for him.

HonestTea 06-05-2016 09:55 PM

LOL Bisping's post-fight conference, pretty happy for him!

Washington Post and MMA Junkie reporting about the Ariel banning

https://www.washingtonpost.com/sport...8e4_story.html

With UFC 199, a great night was spoiled by a petty media banning | MMAjunkie

But as a media member, I don’t have that luxury. If I don’t speak up in support of a colleague who did nothing wrong, then I’d be part of the problem. I’d be essentially telling UFC officials that it’s perfectly acceptable to attack reporters for reporting, and it’s not.
Jeremy Botter went fucking off on UFC and it was a great listen. Skip to 37:28

SkinnyPupp 06-05-2016 11:36 PM

The only excuse I can think of for Dana/Lorenzo banning him was that they were the ones who told him about Brock in confidence OTR. If they told him and he went and reported him, then fuck him.

Otherwise he was just doing his job, and fuck them

Ch28 06-06-2016 01:10 AM

Looks like Kevin Iole touched on it as well. I'm kind of surprised, because he has always come across as a Zuffa shill at times lol

SkinnyPupp 06-06-2016 02:18 AM

Kevin Iole a zuffa shill? Joking? They would have banned him a long time ago if he wasn't such a huge deal in media from boxing. He's one of the few who can and does speak against them when they do some bullshit.

Ch28 06-06-2016 03:44 AM

He's obviously a big deal in the fight game, but there are times where the pieces he writes just come off as pro UFC pieces.

There are times where they should be credited, so I don't see a problem with that. If he's saying the Reebok deal is awesome, or Burt Watson deserved to be fired, that's another thing.

I wonder if they'll use the Super Samoan to promote the guy they've been pushing as their #1 star who is also Samoan... Or at the very least, what does WWE get in return for letting Brock fight? Ronda at Wrestlemania?

EndLeSS8 06-06-2016 09:28 AM

Unless Brock changes his game plan from "being big and overpowering" to a more technical fight with dodging punches, I can't see Mark Hunt losing this fight

From previous fights, Brock doesn't take a hit well

Hunt can take tons of punishment and deals out tons of damage

And all opponents of Brock will be aiming for his gut, due to his surgery.

I'm thinking this will be a TKO for Hunt in 2nd round.

Maybe they just get Brock not quitting on them if they told him no lol

He'd never be able to fight for UFC then!
