I think Brock's only going to do "once in a blue moon" big money fights for the UFC. He's under contract for the WWE which nobody really knows the details. I have a funny suspicion Ronda's appearance on WWE had something to do with Brock being able to fight at 200.

MarkyMark 06-08-2016 09:20 PM

Brock will pass a piss test now he's not stupid. The point is he wasn't tested the last four months like other fighters would have been if they came out of retirement, and coming from the WWE it's just kind of funny.

It's a one-off fight so I doubt anyone really cares.

SkinnyPupp 06-09-2016 02:57 AM

The 4 month retirement thing is to prevent people from retiring to duck a test, only to come back a month or two later. Anyone who was already retired last year would likely get the same exemption. Can you imagine if they signed GSP for UFC 200? Nope sorry bud you gotta wait. Not going to happen.

MarkyMark 06-09-2016 07:09 AM

Yeah I agree, that doesn't mean Brock hasn't benefited from not having to do drug tests the last few months though

GLOW 06-09-2016 07:45 AM

reem wins title, brock beats hunto...rematch with reem and brock, brock wins title goes back to WWE to win title and hold 2 belts like this LUL

Berzerker 06-09-2016 09:32 AM

Shit.... they didn't waste any time. Although the WWE "does" have that wellness policy so if he gets caught by USADA does that mean he gets a strike from the WWE as well?

Berz out.

SkinnyPupp 06-09-2016 07:46 PM

I don't even know how WWE's policy works anymore. People only seem to get busted for drugs like adderal and opiates. You never see announcements or suspensions for steroids.

Guys are a lot smaller than they used to be though, so something is in effect.

Chad Mendes popped

Tim Means given "Tainted Supplement" exemption

Berzerker 06-11-2016 09:37 AM

I wonder what the supp was that means took. Looks like they were spiking it with some real shit. I like how they say "tainted" but it should really read "enhanced" lol

Berz out.

GLOW 06-11-2016 01:17 PM

can drunk drivers tell officers they were drinking water that was tainted? Kappa

RRxtar 06-11-2016 01:36 PM

on the fighter and the kid the other day they speculated that the brock fight was signed, or verbally agreed to some time ago. but they didn't announce it to give brock time to get off the sauce. if they announced say 4 months ago, he would have been subject to testing back then right from the start. so they delayed the announcement to give him some time to get clean.

looks to me like the UFC was actively perusing GSP and brock when the conor fight fell apart. that's why it really didn't seem to bother the UFC because as dana said at the 197 press conference "obviously im working on something big that im not telling you guys about"

Meltzer [who is an actual trustworthy source especially when wrestlers are involved] talked about Brock on his latest show.

They've been working on signing Brock for about 6 weeks, and Vince McMahon finally gave the go ahead the day before they announced he was back.

They would have signed him and announce the fight weeks ago, but obviously he was under contract with WWE so they couldn't.

The 4 month thing isn't a way to let Brock stay on steroids. Honestly that is the fucking stupidest thing I have heard someone say in a long time. Like seriously how stupid are these people who are insisting on this?

Ch28 06-11-2016 09:24 PM

He didn't say the additional 4 weeks was for him to stay on the juice. They held off announcing the fight for 4 weeks to give him time to get off of it so he doesn't get popped on a test.

SkinnyPupp 06-12-2016 03:11 AM

If Brock was taking steroids, 4 weeks isn't going to be enough to pass the test they gave him on Monday.

If there's any story making UFC look bad [and there are plenty of legit stories that do this] Brendan Schaub is the last person you want to consider as a source.

UFC Fight Night to come to Vancouver Aug 27th. PogChamp

Ch28 06-15-2016 01:23 PM

Meh. Fight Night is going to be sandwiched with a bunch of good cards so it's not like we're going to get some nice bouts.

GLOW 06-15-2016 01:37 PM

vancouver ufc event gonna be too hectic bruh

SkinnyPupp 06-15-2016 09:23 PM

Anthony Pettis vs Charles Oliveira should be good

Ch28 06-16-2016 03:33 PM

Say goodbye to the ZUFFA owned UFC

Bidding to buy the UFC is drawing closer to a conclusion

I also love Botter's avatar. Just goes to show how much of a psychopathic loser Ronda really is.

GLOW 06-16-2016 03:45 PM

didn't dana say he's gone if it isn't owned/ran by the fertitas?
dana owns like 8% and the fertitas have like 80% right?
think this will will have any affect on operations?

inb4 gulolololol posts in mma thread when UFC is sold to a chinese company LUL

Ch28 06-16-2016 03:58 PM

I think Frank and Lorenzo both own 40%, Flash Entertainment owns 10%, and I think Dana owns the remaining 10%. Lorenzo has said that him and Frank will have a BJJ match if they can't come to an agreement on things :lol

Dana White's best friend just said that it's likely he stays on

SkinnyPupp 06-16-2016 06:02 PM

That's smart, if Dana leaves I don't see how the UFC would survive with its popularity intact.

jdmhaze 06-16-2016 07:50 PM

Kinda hard to imagine the UFC without Dana.

bought for 2 million back in 2001
selling for 4 billion now in 2016
