I think it's mainly about dat sponsoship money. GSP aint dropping Under Armour and Gatorade for Reebok and Monster
That's the entire basis of his claim that the contract is void. His contract includes sponsorships, but they aren't letting him do it anymore.
It really depends on how it's worded, and what the courts decide. My guess is he's going to deal with that shit later, and get some fights somewhere before he's past his prime (and btw there's no indication that he's past his prime, I don't know why anyone would assume that)
To be fair, in his last couple of fights he didn't look nearly as dominate as before. He took a lot more damage then he used to. Add in the fact that he's had a couple more knee surgeries since then and he's 35 years old, it's safe to say he's probably lost a step from his prime.
Not saying he still couldn't make a run for the belt but I doubt it would be the dominant victories we used to see where he could take anyone down at will and control the fight the whole time.
you forgot to add the people might think you serious.
he's currently in OneFC limbo. how well is he getting paid he fights so infrequently. or is he getting paid well enough being the wrestling coach at rufoussport?

The game changed. People got better. Fighters had tapes to watch and trained specifically for GSP when they fought him. Plus You had a juiced up Hendricks. Until we see him fight again it's hard to say. Let's see Big Sloth fight him now with USADA testing.
Toronto office had 10 people working there and only 2 people remain after today. They also fired Tom Wright (UFC Canada Director). He did a lot of behind the scenes work to get MMA legalized in Canada. He even squared off Cormier and Johnson yesterday.

Berz out.
It's definitely up for debate, but in any sport how many guys are at the top of their game in their mid 30s after knee surgeries VS guys who are in their prime in their late 20s-early 30s with no surgeries?
If he is in his prime right now then it's a shame that it's being wasted with lawyers and all this other bullshit instead of fighting.
"That ginger-headed fuck is retarded," Mousasi said on Monday's edition of the MMA Hour. "In the interview I mentioned, they were talking about respect or whatever, and then he texted me on Twitter. He messaged me, and I said, ‘what are you going to do with your 50kg?' And then he was, I don't know, he was philosophical or whatever the fuck he was writing, he was like, ‘a knife is lighter than a pound, it can cut from ear-to-ear,' whatever the fuck he was writing.
"That guy is a bum. He's a 50kg guy, what the fuck is he going to do? I bet if he's face-to-face, he's not going to say that. But you know, Twitter gives some people courage."
"I don't know what he was mentioning with the knife," Mousasi added. "... I don't have it with me now, but he put a lot of thought into his message. The guy has a lot of time, I don't know.
"I said ‘say it to my face,' but I bet he's not going to do that."
its so weird looking at a fights gameplan and saying "if cody can hit him, he wins" and "if cruz can avoid getting hit for 25 minutes, he wins"
like, most people would say that cruz couldn't actually beat cody in a FIGHT, but he can beat him in an MMA match with a time limit. cody can spend the entire fight not really in any danger, and lose. cruz will spend the entire fight in a ton of danger, and win
