Finally got to see the DC fight... Kind of a boring fight of course, but what do you expect from Rumble vs a really good wrestler
What was really awesome was DC fully embracing the heel persona the fans for some reason want to give him.. His promos were 10/10 A++++ material! Fucking awesome
b/c now bisping is on the shelf for a year awaiting the fight and gets to keep his belt. he'll totally defend it after the fight
he gets to do media and all for a year while being "the champ". feel bad for guys like jacare that take filler fights while waiting for their shot and lose and their opportunity goes *poof*
It's crazy how much endurance post USADA Maia lost
Still won though
I think age is the big factor here. He's 39 and we all see huge drop offs in ability in athletes at that age. His lack of strength is a huge issue and I think he's lucky he got passed Masvidal last night. But would have got the choke 2 years ago.
Woodley is going to put his head in the bleachers. No way Maia is strong enough to finish a submission. He may get him on the ground but he won't be able to get the finish, and since every fight starts standing, woodley only needs one punch to end it in the later rounds
Pretty safe betting against any fighter over 35 these days. Especially ones with some miles on them and double if their opponents are in their 20s.

Agree 100% well said. Age + USADA = end of a lot of known fighter careers coming up
I mentioned it above, Bisping is trying to keep it alive by saying he has a knee injury. I don't blame him, more money and he doesn't have to get brutally knocked out by Romero.
