Novitsky changed the story on the JRE, saying that Jones actually failed two more tests earlier this year, passed another four tests, then failed again in December. He's trying to give credibility to the idea of his blood being permanently tainted, but they never brought that up until now.

This is actually insane

GLOW 12-27-2018 06:28 PM

the reporter actually lead in to a more interesting question but Jon talked over her so people "couldn't hear her", and dana kept asking what the question was and she sort of gave up...

she was asking why guys like Frank Mir get banned for similar amounts but Jon gets to fight. i was hoping in the presser when Jon was saying it was: Only a 'pictogram' Gus' response would be something like "that's what's left, not what was taken"

so where are the results of those tests then. arent the results of all the tests all supposed to be public on the USADA website?

this is such a bad tell a lie, get called out, deepen the lie to cover situation. its like what 5 year olds do.

SkinnyPupp 12-27-2018 07:32 PM

UFC has looked bad in the past, but I usually pass it off as the carny nature of mma/pro wrestling/boxing promotion. It's all the same shit, with the same lineage in history.

But this is a whole new level of fuckery. You can tell they are controlled by Saudis now LUL

Joe Rogan is USUALLY the type to speak his mind, he has brought up negative things about UFC many times, but he is in full on corporate shill mode now. Actually it started when he tried to explain the possibility of Jones failing due to snorting coke that was laced with creatine that was laced with tbol (seriously, he repeats this often). Oh and he buys Anderson's dick pills story, but I guess you sort of have to if there's no clear evidence otherwise.

The whole USADA thing was a clusterfuck to begin with, caused by social pressure of anti-steroid people (who have no idea wtf they're talking about anyway). They did it to sell the company, they sold the company, now it's time to get rid of them!

According to Novitsky, Jones tested positive on August 29 and Sept 18

Right around the time UFC decided that they were no longer going to announce potential drug test failures

Also a week afterJons suspension was lifted. what in the fudge

MarkyMark 12-28-2018 11:35 AM

What a joke, they're basically giving Jones a pass to fail for years to come. What happens the next time Joe Nobody fails for the same shit?

If it was anybody other than Jones I'd almost believe this shit, but Jones is a proven fuck up so I don't doubt at all the he's been on shit again.

murd0c 12-29-2018 12:29 PM

I think its more like if Jones didn't fight it would straight up fuck up the UFC.. Thats the only reason why they made this move since it would of cost them millions and millions if they didn't

Fafine 12-29-2018 12:41 PM

Parley Jones and cyborg pre good odds.

RRxtar 12-29-2018 04:58 PM

Fucking Dana talking about fighters having issues getting and affording accommodations for their team and family and having to pay and redo medicals: "Too fucking bad, if they don't like it they can fight somewhere else. This is costing everyone money"

Likewise, they could just not do drugs at all and enjoy a career in sport

Moving the event cost them WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY more than if they had just cancelled the main event.

Without the main, they'd have a 300K buy instead of what may have been 500-700K (it might end up being more after the move due to the controversy)

Instead, they have to refund a whole event, still pay for the arena, move all the fighters,so many other things we don't even know about...

mikemhg 12-30-2018 12:17 PM

Jones is the GOAT, I keep saying this, he beat Gus worse this time, with a 17 month layoff.

Come on now.

Keep Twittering DC, you're a paper champ.

MarkyMark 12-30-2018 12:37 PM

I really think prime Jones is unbeatable at 205. I'm sure one day when he's older he'll start losing but it's hard to see someone past, present, or future being able beat him at his best.

DC ain't got shit on Jones.

Zedbra 12-30-2018 01:58 PM

I was hoping in his time off, Jones would have learned to stop pushing his arms and fingers towards the eyes when someone punches him, but I guess that works for him; it just looks awkward. He mopped the floor with Gus, looking forward to seeing how long he defends the belt.
