Same here, I was shocked Burns was an underdog. For betting, that was easy money right there.

Oddsmaker's fucked up hard there.

GLOW 07-12-2021 02:55 PM

i saw a pre-show where oddsmakers were saying wonderboy was good at fighting at his long range and defending takedowns and will be able to win on points, and the distance was too great for burns to be able to take him down.

mikemhg 07-12-2021 05:26 PM

That's laughable, Burns is a straight killer, Wonderboy hasn't looked good in ages now.

I'm kicking myself for not betting on that one, called it right from the jump.

fliptuner 07-12-2021 08:30 PM

Same here. Didn't see he was an underdog til Buffer was announcing the fighters.

GLOW 07-14-2021 06:19 PM

misha tate coming out of retirement this weekend. not sure how i feel about that.
i think if she ever fights amanda it'll go much worse this time around.

SkinnyPupp 07-14-2021 06:42 PM

She already retired too late, and now she's coming back? monkaS

mikemhg 07-15-2021 11:41 AM

Why come back? She's hot, but she was never that good especially the last legs of her career there.

Maybe she's gone into the hyperbolic chamber and has gotten way better with the time off? I doubt it.

Any lines on whether or not she'll break her nose again in this fight?

MarkyMark 07-15-2021 06:13 PM

That division is pretty thin right now so she'd probably be competitive other than actually fighting Nunes. Not really sure why she thinks that fight would go well for her.

BlackV62K2 07-17-2021 08:42 PM

Misha still looking good Kreygasm :ifyouknow:

whitev70r 07-17-2021 10:05 PM

edit

^ looks like Tate KO's opponent in the 3rd. Welcome back!

The gloves in the rink for her opponent

SkinnyPupp 07-17-2021 11:54 PM

Yeah I didn't even look at her opponent, who was the oldest active fighter in UFC and was on her retirement match

I guess another fight for Miesha and she can go get blasted in a title shot

MarkyMark 07-18-2021 12:18 AM

I mean to be fair, Miesha has much of a chance of beating Nunes as McGregor has a chance of beating anyone in the top 3 of the lightweight division, and that's being generous. The difference is she needed warmup fight lol.

If a lot of people think that, expect to see even more of him if he heals well... If Poirier isn't champion he can fight someone else rather than get an immediate title shot for the 4th fight in their series

Every time there's a question of what will happen, the business goes up like 50%. People are still talking about him so even with the hardcores and haters (maybe they're more important than ever actually), it makes his matches bigger.

fliptuner 07-18-2021 11:04 PM

Women's bantam and flyweight divisions are locked up, until the champs retire or someone extraordinary comes up the ranks.

True, although you never know someone could all of a sudden come out of nowhere. Nunes was 3-3 in 6 fights before she went on her current run.

I really hope Zhang gets a rematch vs Rose some time.. It feels so weird that she lost that fight. I'm no expert but it feels like she should win that matchup like 9 times out of 10...

GLOW 07-19-2021 07:46 AM

you think it should be immediate or she needs a tune up fight to get a groove back.

i wonder at what point they call both divisions 'cleaned out' and do the nunes/valentina rematch again.

SkinnyPupp 07-25-2021 06:30 AM

What a performance by TJ on his return fight against a VERY good guy. Wow

GLOW 08-01-2021 12:29 PM

so much for uriah hall's possible title run

whitev70r 08-03-2021 10:35 PM

Lewis vs. Gane for Interim heavyweight title is the stupidest thing I ever heard! This goes to show that Dana White flies by the seat of his pants and makes shit up as he goes along. If I was Ngannou ... I'd be frickin furious.

mikemhg 08-04-2021 11:53 AM

Holy fuck that's stupid.

UFC is such a trash organization, I really hope they fail one day, and another takes their place.

MarkyMark 08-04-2021 05:30 PM

They definitely treat their fighters like trash. Dana just comes off as a guy who will go out of his way to fuck you over if you don't bow down and tow the line.

mikemhg 08-07-2021 11:58 AM

Picks for tonight?

SkinnyPupp 08-07-2021 09:04 PM

Imagine ever thinking Jose Aldo was a boring fighter

Well he is now

SkinnyPupp 08-07-2021 09:47 PM

FINALLY we can be done with Derrick Lewis. No fluke shot this time. What an embarrassment.

GLOW 08-08-2021 09:41 AM

post fight interview pena asked for an interim title he said no they'll get the fight asap

lewis/gane and her/nunes is like apples to oranges LUL
